Brad sounds a lot more comfortable than normal being at the helm. It's great to hear.

I'll just chime in and agree that Brad is a great host!

Now that you mention it, you're right. God damn supervision! I stepped down from that position months ago and it still permeates and corrupts most of what I do. I really need to shake that shit. Whoever said you should do what you're good at is full of it. The most soul-wrenching experience of my life. I would not wish a life of assessing others on anyone.

That said, my assessment of the Bradcast is accurate, albeit a bit clinical.

Nice work on the podcast, @Brad! Mix in some Beef O'Brady and that was a damn sexy couple of hours.

Also, I'm someone who often plays as women in RPGs, but not every game ever has to have that option, I think. But of course I can't have an opinion.

Brad is a fantastic host and I would be happy for him to take that role on permanently honestly.

Excellent podcast. Hope Rorie is on more often, he has a unique view on videogames which I appreciate.

Anyway, great podcast, and a great job Brad did at hosting it. Nice and focused with some good discussion from everyone. Rorie and Danny need to be regulars, or at least semi-regulars, and I always like hearing Drews' opinions on stuff.

Quality job on the hostifying, Brad! Cant believe you've never done it until now. :)

I wouldn't mind at all if you guys rotated hosts between Brad, Jeff, and Drew regularly. Freshens things up muchly.

Rorie calm down your so paranoid of every game you sound like every dev is out to get to trick you.

I would really love to have an addition of another podcast, if time would allow for it where brad hosts a show, cause Jeff's podcast style incorporates alot of bullshit...and Jeff would have read the entirety of that Email aloud. I love the bullshit that occurs on the show, cause it also extends the podcast into the 3 or 4 hour range, which is great to listen to at my job. Brad's is definitely more concise and to the point. Both are great, just different.

Not to sound negative but after many Brad-run quicklooks I wasn't expecting this podcast to be so damn good. Well done Brad.

Id just like to say that Brad was an awesome host this week. He handled it perfecting and certainly didnt seem like a host noob. Good work Brad we love you brother. People were worried by Vinnys departure in terms of Bombcast hosting etc, only they didnt realise that it was time for a new era to begin... THE RISE OF THE SHOEMAKER.

Brad did a great job! I would love to see him host the podcast more. Mix it up from time to time.

Is it bizarre to think that it's actually Jeff that is the weak host now? I mean he's not technically bad per se, but he seems to hate everything these days and his negative attitude spoils it for me.

You reminded me why I really liked you on the Tested podcast Brad. You're way more enthusiastic and "awake" compared to what you usually are on the Bombcast. You did a great job on this bombcast, I would love to see you host more of them.

@stanleynipple: I think Jeff is just much more talented at responding and/or being the "color" guy than being a host. When I think of Jeff, I equate him to John Madden and not Pat Summerall. Madden was so great he made the hall of fame, but you would never think of Madden doing play by play.

Dead air and awkward transitions have been kind of the rule since he took over. Vinny's podcasts over the last year were terrific but of course he's gone east. It seems to me they need new talent on the Bombcast. John Drake would have been an intriguing add, but Jeff poured cold water on that over Twitter.

I realize it's tough to be objective in the wake of events from last summer but it seems to me they need to find a new direction.

Also the poop email was just fantastic. That's a gem for the ages, whether it was true or not.

This was a great Bombcast! I always listen to the whole thing, but normally I don't mind stopping and starting while doing this: I ended up sitting on the beach with my headphones in listening to this whole thing at once. Brad kept things really tight and moving, which works great for a post-E3 cast.

That said, if I end up with a wicked sunburn, it's the Bombcast's fault, because I couldn't stop listening and go inside. :P

I've gotta be honest, folks. I've been a GB member and fan for a LONG time, but I've been getting a bit bummed out by the bombcast for a while now. And with Vinny leaving I thought it was utterly doomed.

But Brad brought focus and enthusiasm back to the discussion. Drew, Danny and Rorie all worked really well together. My attention did not waver for a moment.

I like how Brad apologizes and stops if he starts to talk over someone. He's like the exact opposite of Jeremy Parish.

That was a great podcast, the best in some time. I honestly think Jeff is not as good at hosting the podcast anymore... he's lacking a lot of his energy from the GS days and of course, with the events that have happened last year.

I was surprised how well this episode turned out. Brad does an admirable job hosting but I think he should not be allowed to pick and choose emails. Mainly because he's the most indecisive motherfucker on the website as evidenced every year during Game of the Year deliberations. I was cracking up during the poo-mail so I wish he had gone all the way with it or omitted it entirely. It probably takes him three times as long to screen emails so I'd give that responsibility to someone who's capable of sticking to their guns. Otherwise great show guys.
