I dated someone from paraguay for a few years so i know a weird amount about yerba. the gourd is called a guampa. the straw is called a bombilla. terere is especially dope if you chuck a lemon in the Termo (literally just what they call thermoses)

It's an episode of Shark Tank and Jeff is showing off Interactive Electronic Gaming hoping for a deal and the Sharks are not biting. Jeff is asking too much for a 10% equity stake in video games and Brad; an international maker of men's footwear has put the kibosh on Jeff's plans to expand and scale up siting a disagreement about if one could theoretically wear video games on one's feet. I'm from Argentina, we also drink a ton of mate. It's more of a communal thing were everyone in a group shares the same gourd. My girlfriend is Canadian and she gave me some very confused looks when I accepted a serving from a random person on the tour bus we were in. It's so natural that you don't generally think much more when that sort of thing happens.

I'm now living in Canada, and real yerba is soooooooo hard to get here and so expensive, too. I hesitate to call the canned stuff mate at all, it's really nothing like the real stuff. It's more like cold "mate cocido" (our name for the teabag version of the drink), which is kind of bleh in my opinion.

In regards to how Epic's revenue split might impact Unity and the industry, Epic made UE4's source available on github and shifted UE4 editor access from a monthly subscription to free, resulting in Unity having to eventually follow suit. This is by no means to suggest that Unity is the little kid on the block getting bullied, as they continue to enjoy a much more filled-out asset marketplace and continue to benefit from a much longer history of being the engine of choice for small indies.

The assets on these marketplaces: it's not just large middleware and tools made by moderately sized professional teams -- it's everything from sound effects, 3d models, textures, materials, animation, and snippets of scripting/code/blueprints that are often made by lone individuals.

I have a feeling the conversation about Fallout 3 being bad coming up lately is because of Hbomb.

This video is a result when I do a good search for "Yerb".

Decided to take a look at the game magazine i used to read to see how they felt about Fallout 3 vs NV. They mentioned the new weapons , upgrades & faction systems as improvements, but disliked the weaker story & how it had twice the amount of bugs and freezes .

Most reviews for Fallout 3 seem to have a higher score than New Vegas at that time for what it's worth. New Vegas definitly wasn't generally seen as the obvious better game when it was released.

I guess now that we all have machines that easily play New Vegas & a ton of patches and mods got rid of the most annoying bugs, you get to focus on the story on both games and New Vegas is the better written game overall. The initial novelty of seeing this gritty wasteland in 3d was also something that hit harder on first sight for a lot of folks at the time i reckon.

While i think New Vegas is better written, the story overall & the quests that you do in that game never really hit me as hard as some of the more iconic missions in fallout 3.

The sound of a particular album on vinyl is different both because it is mastered differently and because the vinyl format adds some distortion to the sound and it's absolutely legitimate to prefer that to a digital mastering of a particular album. But the key thing is you could make a CD or FLAC of that vinyl and nobody could tell the difference. Unless maybe you were using gear with improperly designed Digital to Analog converters. But properly designed DAC chips have only cost a few dollars since the late 90s so that's usually not an issue anymore.

I like the cover art and the ceremony of playing vinyl so if vinyl sounded anywhere near as good as a CD I might collect it, but most vinyl pressings sound like shit especially the stuff they are selling to kids now. They can save money cutting corners with the materials and pressing of the discs and there's no market pressure for better-sounding vinyl except in very small communities of deluded audiophiles who pay exorbitant prices.

Donkey Kong Country 2 was really hard, especially compared to the first game. One of the last levels--in which Squawks the parrot has to navigate a maze of brambles--is one of the hardest levels I've ever played in a video game.

Hmm I don't think I would mind if the Octopath stories never come together because too often I find myself get bored of an RPG story. The idea of 8 six hour stories sounds way more appealing to me.

If they do intertwine in a way after a long time, that could be very rewarding. But to me that's more of a bonus.

That they just accept each other and basically don't interact with each other or ask each other anything does sound a little jarring XD But I think I can get over that fairly easily now that I know that it's how it works.

The Epic thing is neat. Maybe throw a little of that extra Fortnite profits at UT, which hasn't been updated in a year.

I'm starting to go the other way on them. They feel like they're getting more and more frequent, feel forced, and aren't really adding anything - I'm not here to see their reactions, but for them to actually discuss something. I'd much rather Jan just gets involved in the podcast.

Yeah and you have to account for players who just never get everyone. Really you COULD just choose one character and beat their entire story, albeit it being insanely tough, then the game would end. At least I believe post game doesn't trigger till you beat all chapters for your chosen protagonist.

Honestly you start to see similar hidden, shadow-e characters present in everyone's chapters so they all probably have some similar overarching plot, but I'm glad to see right now it's just 8 tasty little slices of cake.

I liked Fallout 3 and played all the way through it on PS3, but didn't hear great things about New Vegas when it came out, so I never played it. Nowadays it does seem like everyone thinks NV is the bee's knees, but I remember it being looked at as a cash grab by a non-Bethesda developer, too.

The only reason I own a vinyl player is because Plumtree redid their three albums and put them out through Label Obscura and I didn't wanna miss out on it. I ended up getting Metric's recent album on vinyl and my sister got me Scott Pilgrim. I ended up getting Hyper Light Drifter's soundtrack on vinyl because I just really liked it and wanted to support them.

The angriest I ever got at a video game was because of MW2 spec ops, I was trying to get through them solo because I didn't have any PS3 friends and kept failing the airplane graveyard so I punched a hole in the living room wall. My parents were NOT happy about it.
