Because the the actual show starts the day after these conferences; the show-floor isn't open to the public yet.

Dont want to be bitchy mcbitch here, but so far, last 2 years had much better e3 coverage. A day with 3 conferences and it gets a 1 hour and 15mins podcast? Ryan seemed to be rushing everyone, i guess they all came back late from their stuff, which is understandable, but still kinda lame :/ And again, the seperate video recap was much better than the ustream stuff being the same as the podcasts

I was pretty disappoint with the Microsoft conference, I was saddened by the Ubisoft one, whereas I really liked the EA one. They showed some great looking games, they had good hosts and they didn't get a Korean loli kid on stage to play with a fake tige-- D'AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW SKITTLES.

Yeah it was a little fast, and it seemed like only Jeffs opinion mattered y'know what i mean? but whatever! i still enjoy it, i was mighty skeptical about the ustream being the podcast, but i like it.  I can expect or hope that when E3 really kicks off with all the demo's it'll get fatter, the 08 discussions were mighty and rad! "

Don't be too harsh on Laura who did the video chat segment, Giant Bomb guys.  She was probably super nervous since being on Major Nelson's podcast is not really preparation for presenting part of Microsoft's E3 press conference.
