you could clearly see that he simply was not aloud to talk about anything that might project Nintendo aren't in a good position right now, I'm sure he really wanted to talk more openly about some of the stuff that was asked but just simply wasn't aloud to... He really didn't seem happy either, considering this is E3... you should over the moon and really energetic about the games and wanting to be there, and he just didn't sound like he wanted to be there at all....

Dude, i came to say the exact. same. thing. And this is the first comment that i saw. This PR guy is a robot. Atleast the Sony guy had a little bit of personality.

I don't blame the person - I blame the company. Nintendo's spinning its wheels, and there just isn't a lot to say right now.

Hilarious. I was expecting a load of PR double speak to dance around issues, but this guy just flat out no comments his way through the whole thing.

pretty funny, kind of hard to know what to ask nintendo right now, other than to be mean and say "well you guys must be pretty worried with new consoles coming out right?"

That Nintendo guy sure was dry.

Looking grim for Nintendo.. all they do is rerelease the same games over and over with some minor changes and an extra number on the title, how long can this formula keep working? Even their PR guys don't seem genuinely excited about what they have to offer.

Why did they even book this meeting? Seriously just give Patrick the sheet this guy was reading from and save 15 minutes.

Nintendo of America really strikes me as a company under a very tight leash. It doesn't seem like they have any autonomy of their own right to make independent decisions; they're so rigidly regimented to a suffocating degree.

It's not too surprising, but it's a little disappointing. There's a lot of lost potential to not allow the US branches to make some big decisions of their own in the same way that it's working with Sony right now.

That's the perception I get at least.

Nintendo has a big problem on their hands. Not only does the price of the PS4 completely destroy them in terms of consumer support this holiday season, but it seems like Nintendo doesn't have any major exclusives in the works for the holiday season as well. Nintendo has always been cheap when it comes to next-gen console hardware. They were always playing catch up. Their exclusives: Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Smash Brothers, among some others would always save them. This time, however, I believed they rolled the dice once too often.

They have only one policy...

The lack of answers is pretty telling in itself.

Years and years down the road I would love to read a book about the internal workings of Nintendo. Just what is going on behind closed doors that has lead to all of their decisions. From the top of the world with the NES and SNES to its hemorrhaging of third party support since the late 90's. And what lead them to pushing gimmicks and outdated tech on their consoles instead of being in parity with their competition that has now lead to them not even being in the same fight.

Wow. I think Nintendo might be going the way of Sega soon. They need to at least get out of the console business and focus on handhelds. Too bad mobile phones are going to destroy any chance they have in the handheld gaming market. I have absolutely zero interest in the Wii U and if it wasn't for my 3DS I would be completely done with Nintendo. How the mighty have fallen...

What a goddam awful interview!! - Those Nintendo PRs are just like a Nintendo Wii U that actually speaks... My image of Nintendo nowadays is like that old old fart that lives in an old old home for the elderly that keeps telling you about his youth, yet, each time the poor guy makes up new stuff over the old... thats Nintendo in a nutshell for me now... and to think I was such a fanboy for them...
