Well, at least I'm ready to hear about the game from the two that review the game (Kevin and Brad). Also, Brad isn't rolling correctly. You can totally roll without laying on the ground. Also, Jeff is being a douche. He's not being sarcastic.

I fear that the Quick Look is going to be full of this type of stuff.

So are you guys new to the site?

No, I've been here since the first day. What's your problem? I know exactly how Jeff feels about this, and my point still stands. Your comment is pointless. He's being condescending.

To a game that he doesn't like and the reviewer seems to agree that he shouldn't like it. That's called doing his job.

When I saw this video had 400 comments I knew people were going to be arguing about nonsense.

@leebmx: They (GB) aren't trying to sell this game. They're trying to assess if it's worth our $60. No one likes to watch a product that consumed mucho resources and time flop, but it happens.

I have to somewhat disagree. GB hasn't been a "review" site in sometime, if it ever even was. It's clearly more so of a site in which games take a backseat to the personalities of the staff, and I'm fine with that. There are dozens of sites that are perfect if you want legitimate unbiased coverage of games, GB is not one of those. When you come to GB you come to hear what the staff thinks not an honest review. For years they've shat on and completely avoided entire genres of games, the only way I can accept that is to simply not view them as a journalistic site but an entertainment one. Some posters though have difficulty understanding the difference and when faced with the facts that the staffers do not check their bias's or avoid genres simply reply with question "What, you want them to play genres/games they don't like?" As if it's absurd that we the viewer has the gull to ask someone using the title as critic to do something that is a pretty basic element in their job description.

I don't want it to sound like I dislike the style here, because I actually enjoy it immensely, but I get a bit bothered sometimes in the way GB or the staff tries to present itself. This site is a shits and giggles site where you can become slightly informed, anytime I want a legitimate review I tend to look elsewhere.

@WVUEers: Most movie reviewers don't review every type of movie genre or every film. The horror and comedy list would be too great.

These guys review the big items and as many of the little ones as they can. I probably wouldn't have known about Fez until GB crew said something. I believe a review should be biased. If the guys tell me they don't like a particular type of game well then I'll go somewhere else to find those reviews. This way I know where they stand on different genres.

There are at least 8 different opinions from Giant Bomb that matter to me. Each of them enjoys a different type of game (Patrick seems to love the horror genre and I do too). I don't expect the GB crew to review everything. I come here for their opinions because I usually agree with the main cast's opinion on games. If a few of them seem to dislike something then I probably would too.

The Gamespot crew next door really disliked the game. 4.5 out of 10 so the internet (and the GB crew) must be right. RE 6 is just not that good. I'll buy it when it is cheap.

I clapped until the final graf. (Journalism students will get that). Nobody's "right", because a review is subjective. You made a lot of good points, though.

I'm utterly baffled at the lack of reader comprehension on this site and the internet, as a whole. People don't get that reviews are not fucking factual; they're subjective. I don't think anybody here wants unbiased coverage; they want to be reassured that their opinions are "right."

I think you guys should do a Cortex Command quick look. But after figuring out how to play first. Physics in that game make it ridiculous fun with friends sometimes.

Isn't the definition of an honest review what the staff thinks? Your argument makes no sense to me. By your logic, an honest review would require them to say what they DON'T actually think, as in lie?

I don't understand why that's a difficult concept to understand. I can appreciate that there are certain films, games, and books that from a critical perspective are great but from a personal one I do not enjoy them. I don't think I've ever met a person who hasn't had that experience, finished a book and went "It's well written, it's got a great story, etc.... but it wasn't really for me." Fundamentally it meets all of the criteria to be a great book but there is something on an odd personal level that rubbed you the wrong way. Games are the same. For instance I haven't been able to put in more than a solid 10 hours into Skyrim, now this has nothing to do with anything the game has really done or failed to do and I'm absolutely aware of the amazing things it's doing.... but for whatever reason I haven't been drawn in. When I listen to the GB cast more often than not when I hear the guys speak about situations like the one I'm in that place the blame more so on the games as opposed to simply admitting it's a personal preference issue. Again though, to reiterate what I said in the previous post that style of speaking is fine so long as we're not passing it off as a journalistic review.
