@hansolol: It isn't that bad, there are long moments when he doesn't say anything as if he has left the room or is preoccupied with something else, maybe his Mario review as he felt he had to post that in chat mid stream.

I love the porcelain armor. I've been wearing that ever since I got it. It's just so cool looking!

I agree that the original Mass Effect was by far the best game in the series. I really didn't think much of 2.

On the subject of RPG elements invading every game... I hate it, and I hope we see less of it with this new generation.

Grinding for the sake of it to progress in a game is just wasting my time, and feels like it's only one step removed from being free-to-play.

Mass Effect 1 was FANTASTIC. It's probably one of my favorite games of all time. I liked the Mako. I collected most of the shit, btw.

@rorie Don't know if it's possible but you guys could do a 3 hour stream next time. That should give Vinny loads of time to beat the last DLC boss and the final Boss to finish the game. I think Vinny would only need about 20 minutes to beat Gwyn, hes really strait forward compared to these DLC dudes.

The dude hasn't been in SF since the summer and I miss having him in content with the guys in the office...give the guy a break, he just wants to be in as many videos as possible in one week. Plus it was so good to hear him on the bombcast again this week (i do love his and Alex's morning show a lot though)

I was sure someone was going to chime in with an Alpha Protocol mention to Rorie when Ian mentioned he hates weapons that are dependent on statistics, because that game is the epitome of that design choice.

Mass effect 2 didn't go anywhere lol Load of old rubbish. Thank god this was a one off.

Man I am glad Patrick and Vinny got on Ian's shit for his Nerd Muscle comments.

Even though Vinny has said that he doesn't like playing a tank, it's obviously the best build for his playstyle. Also he really should upgrade his armor and shields as that makes a huge difference, for example if Vinny really wants to go lightweight he can use the black leather armor and upgrade it and it will be better than the favor armor he's been using at a third of the weight. I'm pretty sure with his endurance and Havel's ring he would be able to fast roll with that armor.

Awesome ep, as always! That battle with Kalameet was TENSE!

And Patrick was great. Makes for an entertaining read though, the comments from those people who've a sandcastle in their vaginas.

First, let me say that Load Our Last Souls is fantastic. It was the final push I needed to become a subscriber, and I've already received more than my money's worth.

I enjoy a lot of Patrick's work for this site, but I do think he was a poor choice for this feature. Vinny, Ian and Rorie have an established dynamic at this point, and it's built upon the experiences they've had through individually playing this game. Patrick doesn't have those experiences in his background, and perhaps even more damaging to this feature, he also doesn't seem to have the passion or the interest for Dark Souls that's shared by the original trio.

Last week's episode, with Vinny discussing his strategy and experimenting with different play styles against Artorias, was absolutely fascinating. You couldn't ask for a better showcase of the Dark Souls at its very best. This week the conversation felt heavy on Dragon's Dogma, Mass Effect and Super Mario 3D World, because that's what Patrick knew and could talk about. I still enjoyed this week's episode, but can't help feeling it would have been better if Patrick had a better frame of reference.

I'm really glad they're taking advantage of the fact that Patrick is in town. They would be remiss not to include him in as many things as possible while he's around. He made for a good guest soul.

I don't really know why, but every time I heard the voice samples from dropping the stones I had to think about various Monty Python sketches.

While I enjoy Patrick's work, I rather do enjoy him in videos with the other guys. It's good they're getting all of this done with him around, get in all the videos you can before he's gone again; I just wish I could catch the beginning few hours of the X1 stream tomorrow. The PS4 stream was pretty fucking great.

Never really got all the attitude towards Scoops and Rorie. They're cool guys.

Edit: Also, I really enjoy this feature. Some great/hilarious moments.
