Wow that map sucked on so many levels

Really was simply stagnant. What you had to do to steal stars from people made it very silly to realistically catch back up.

Also those capsules suck compared to previous ones.

The minigames at least seemed a touch better.

This was easily the dreariest MPP so far. When I saw the map gimmick I got really excited, but it was just boring and slow.

Jeff, you really need to punish your employees for talking you into this!!!

Yes, the point is pain, but I come out of this really wishing they had played a different map.

This was rough. I just stared at Jeff's expression the whole time. It was like staring at hatred personified. I had fun even if they didn't.

They should be more protective of the format of MPP, the map's different rules really did a number on the drama of this one. The crew are Mario Party grandmasters at this point - this was like putting Kasparov in a checkers match.

These parties keeps getting longer and longer. And yet I'm still going to watch all of it.

Whoever told Dan this was supposed to be a good map, please leave. Just leave.

Whoever was "recommending" that map to Dan had to have been trolling. It made for incredibly dire viewing.

Initially I was bummed that I had to relegate it to the background while working on other stuff, but even then I came close to turning it off. I hope future parties stick to the original formula; there was simply nothing to this one.

I feel like for future MPPs they should just stick with the basic map.

Watched the first half live. Now time for the rest. May God help us all.

Dude, spoilers in the promo image!!! I was hoping Brad would win this one, but now I know that nobody wins, I don't need to watch it.

This was extremely painful to watch.Brad and Dan mentioned needing to finish Dark Souls 3 during this stream. I would have watched that instead of this no matter how many souls you lost.

I'm at about 85% now.

I had to go to bed around turn 17; it appears that the game took considerably longer to finish than probably anybody was anticipating. Heavens.

The lack of influx of new stars made that mode pretty boring. Also since everyone started every turn having to check the map it really made it longer. Also the 2 bars of music on loop, oh my gosh.

@danryckert: When you recover, you should push for the 6-2 idea that you suggested. Play Mario Party 6 on an ordinary map. We'll get another Mario Party Party out of it! :)

Let me get in on the ground floor that this MPP was non-canonical and there needs to be a replay MP 6 on a map with purchasable stars. I think that would be maximum pain for this mess. Dan did float that idea early in, but it was brushed off.

Yep, I really like this 'feature' but that map was dull and irritating. MPP 7 in 2017 has to be better, right? ...right?

Yeah that map was real bad, first time I felt as dismayed as the MPP crew.

I watched this live and, well, abandon hope all ye who enter.

Seriously though, this map seemed like hot garbage and I'm amazed they stuck it out and made the best of it instead of doing the reasonable thing and just eating Dan alive on stream.

For sure, the map was a drag, but I still had fun watching part of this live and then remain 45 minutes behind to commute home and finish off the rest. Now we move on to the future of motion-controlled hardware with the Wii!

Bring on Mario Party Party 7!

The last time people said it was the best Mario Party was Mario Party 3 and we all know how that turned out....They should probably just stick with the default map from here on out (too easy for Dan to be confused by map suggestions).

Kinda agree with Jeff that doing these on Fridays might improve the general morale a bit. And doing just a touch of research on the maps would go a long way. Ah well, something to remember for MPP7 in 10 months.
