Metal Gear Scanlon: 3: Part 07

@gbrading@spiritof: The thing is though that this episode proves that Drew isn't the bumblefuck a lot of people have assumed he is watching these, that it's the controls that have been holding him back. Drew is an extremely thoughtful player who is patient and careful and likes to play things stealthily and such, but the controls in MGS, if you didn't grow up with them, are blisteringly unintuitive, so he gets frustrated and says fuck it and just runs around shooting things and throwing grenades so he can just move past it.

People need to remember that Drew would play like a super spy if the game made it easy to do so. He's playing these games for the very first time years and years after they came out, and on camera.

Wow.. what happened to Drew 'the Elephant' Scanlon. Very well played.

He said he enjoys taking his time, does really well and most importantly.. enjoys himself (for probably the first time).

If he adopted that mindset in all the other sections, especially the latter half of sprinting and diving between cover, whilst keeping on top of the camo. Marry that with the tranq pistol and he could have avoided the self inflicted frustration.

Also I'm super glad Drew got some shotgun time in with The End. That's how I usually deal with him. I hate that boss fight. And yeah, I know I'm in the minority. Still a great show.

The fight really is a lot like Monster Hunter! Attack the monster and carve in different ways to get different parts. Fight The End in different ways and get his camo and gun. Face it Dan, this is one Monster Hunter-ass boss fight!

Late to the party, but I just want to say that this was a fantastic episode.

Finally, after 7 episodes of MGS3, we're playing MGS like it's meant to be played. GJ!

That fight completely redeemed Metal Gear Scanlon 3 for me. THAT FUCKING GRENADE THOUGH

I think this is probably my favorite boss fight in the series so far. It feels like the one most fitting with the rest of the game.

Wow, after watching Drew stomp his way through the previous episodes with zero subterfuge I was expecting The End to be a huge fiasco, but he handled the fight perfectly. Great job.

That was an amazing boss fight that ended perfectly.

oh maaaaaaan, as I'm reliving this series I was so looking forward to seeing Drew take on The End again. I forgot about how Drew ended that fight! So great!

Just started watching this series and for some reason I can't see Part 07. It immediately goes to end, then switches to Part 8. Filed a error report but is anyone else having this issue?
