It depends on the game type. Dual Joystick shooters like this = better with controller. Mouse is adequate, but it's one of the few game genres that work better with a controller. Mouse is just better for strategy games, first person shooters, third person shooters,  RPGs, Sim games and well made/ported action games.  "

Bought this game, too bad they didn't show the Co-Op in the Quicklook, it's pretty good.

This looks like an old game I have called the same thing from the early 90s. I remember it cus it was hard to get it to work on the computer I had at the time, but the game is really cool. The flashlight was used very effectively. 
 
I wonder if this game is a remake of that. I remember that game ripping off Aliens pretty hardcore. The enemies all looked like Aliens from the Alien movies.

Ah well, I dont know if it has any relation to that game but it reminds me of it. I have to play that game again. Its a cool game. I might check this out too.

Edit #2: Yep Alien Breed Tower Assault which was a sequel to Alien Breed. I knew it. Sorry I had to find it, that was killing me =P

The co-op looked so awesome. Especially what happens at the end of co-op with desktops.

And for those who care - steam has a demo available.  Cause demos sell games.

I remember really liking the original Alien Breed on my Amiga 500..

Didn't like the xbla trial though...

And Aliens was fucking awesome when it came out, and still is!

I used to play Alien Breed on my Amiga 32 as a kid. It was kinda wierd when I think about it, very limited ammo and if you ran out you were pretty much screwed unless you had some money and could get to a shop. 
 
You could also run out of keys for doors so you'd be stuck, you could spend a bunch of bullets shooting the door open, but yeah limited ammo. I mostly remember using all the keys to get into the treasure vault on level one, then going back to a terminal and using the password to get to level 2.

That's how it goes...

Man, they really lost all the drama of deactivating the core from the original.  It was a tense as hell race to the exit while red emergency lights flickered, sirens blaring and floods of aliens.  It looks like in this you sit next to the damn reactor turtling out the time limit. Bleh.
