Thanks for the quick look. It was enjoyable to watch.

I was really close to picking up a 3DS for this. I played a lot of the Gamecube version but then I realized I never touched Wild World after I picked up a DS for it back in the day. I'll probably get bored of this in a few weeks.

I got this for free because of the promotion, first Animal Crossing! This along with Last of Us will help the 3 months before university go by. Probably.

I picked this up last night and so far I have no fucking idea what to do.

@billyhoush: I'm in the exact same boat here, I really doubt that there is enough new content here to keep me interested for any sustained length of time.

I'm torn on whether to get this or not. Played the shit out of the Gamecube version, and skipped the DS and Wii games, same boat as Patrick said he was in on the Bombcast. I think it's been long enough that I could get back into this...the only thing that worries me is how busy I've been with work as of late, and this seems like the kind of game you have to fit into your schedule.

I really enjoyed Animal Crossing for the Gamecube, but I don't think I really need anymore Animal Crossing. Tom Nook won't be getting anymore of my Bells!

Has the world size always been this small? I haven't played since the Gamecube; perhaps I'm misremembering, but i thought it was larger...

I dunno why exactly but this Quick Look sold me on the game. Hopefully I'll play the damn thing, unlike my other 3DS games.

I know it's immature, but every time I see a peach on a tree in this game, I think someone had planted a butt in the ground, and this is what they got out of it.

What are you 12? Just because somethings colorful and charming doesn't mean a guy cant play it.

I feel like I want to try this game but I'm not sure I could justify a full game price for it. I've never played an Animal Crossing and I'm not sure I totally get it.

I heard you can actually change the time of day in game now.

@chose Your wrong. It's for everyone. My older brother played the heck out of the Gamecube one years ago. He played way more than I did. Thats saying something because he only plays sports games, Elder Scrolls and some Rockstar games like GTA and Red Dead.

After all these years, I'm still not sure what Animal Crossing is.

I really, really hope that is the case! I absolutely hated the DS Animal Crossing because all the cool stuff happened when I couldn't play the game. KK Slider only ever appeared when I had to be out doing real life activities, school got in the way of most of the daytime activities, and weekends were devoted actually getting time to hang out with friends... it felt like every time I played the game, it was always in the middle of the night, and all I could do was shake trees and sell fruit, because all of the actually interesting stuff was inaccessible due to the time restrictions.

@scarycrayons: What you can do as the mayor is make your town a late night or early bird town so stores and stuff open and close at different times.

Some of the other ordinances include a clean town (weeds don't grow, no cockroaches) or a wealthy town (things you sell are worth more money)

Does this count as Jeff "pulling a Brad"? With the whole bees-thing?

Finally, the reason to get a 3DS
