This game strangely has already had like 3 different demos on the jp psn store. From what I played it didnt seem too hot, time for the quicklook!

In cybernator you had the shield + fist attack from the start as well btw.

Not a fan of how this looks totally. Looks like too much of a mix between cleaner graphics and sprites.

A game Jeff loves and did a Bombastica of already.

That looked great! I like the leveling up gets stuff so there's a reason to keep playing.

Man this game looks cool. I used to play as many of those side-scroller robot games on the SNES as I could, in the day (I probably rented Metal Warriors 25 times).

Cybernator is the shit!

The options are as follows as I understand with my limited translation skills

* Score display Off

* Dialogue boxes off

* Locking the gun to a direction independent of walking by holding down a button (a la Cybernator) can't see which button as the text didn't scroll onto the screen in the video.

* Lina bonus lv1 (2000 points)

* Deck 19 score lv1 (100 points per.. something, can't see in video) I think those two added score bonuses were the reason for the S rank

* the next two are for turning on those two weapons in practice mode, as you worked out

Then the last 4 are

* laser pointer (as was obvious)

* vernier scale (different scale for the energy meter?)

*the megadrive bgm

* Rika bonus lv2 (another points bonus for a mission?)

Target Earth was great, of course, but Cybernator was absolutely amazing.

This (At least in it's vanilla form) looks way harder than the original even though the original was pretty tough by itself.

HELL yes. The variety of different mechs (6? 8? I forget), the ability to exit the mech and crawl through the access corridors as a teeny human, the multiplayer...man. It was Cybernator Plus.

Also I like how the giant storm of Jupiter looks like an oozing, bloody wound in this game. And the fact that, judging from its shadow, Ganymede is about five feet away from Jupiter's atmosphere. :b

Never got a chance to play Target Earth back in the day, but I've seen and heard so much about it since then.

Time to consult some pro gaming for tips!

I could use a bit more game audio in QLs, just some feedback! Dan mentioned he loved the music and even when I turn it up, I can barely hear it.

Edit: Ok, it got better toward the middle. I think they just needed to stop talking for a few seconds

Oh man I played the shit out of Cybernator back in the day.

This, Turrican, Thunder Forces, and M.U.S.H.A. have some of the hardest of hard music on the MD/Genesis.

I'm going to keep telling myself that if I shout long and hard enough for an Encyclopedia Bombastica for Cybernator, it will happen.

This remake took a lot of pointers from Cybernator for SNES, it seems. A great game, by the way...you guys should do a QL Flashback of it or something.
