Quick Look: Blocks That Matter

Ah, the thought of Markus ever finishing a game amuses me.

This game is pretty cool. Also, they really should of called this game, "There Will Be Blocks".

This game kind of looks like it could be fun, Im just not sure how long that fun would last. If this game had shifting perspective like in Fez then it would be a instant purchase though.

Oh look, another indie side-scrolling platformer. Great, just what the world needed.

"That is a HOT slime. Drill HER" Oh Vinny.

Haters gonna hate but I really like this game and it's $5...a good price for this!

The thing is, when this game came out, it was advertised on the front page of steam, under the "new games" area. I think it may have even had a big banner on the steam homepage for a week.

Microsoft just doesn't advertise for the Indie Games like that on the Xbox... it's almost like they don't even care.

I never even knew about the game being on Xbox Live Indie Games until you mentioned it here.

On the most part I think of Vinny as the grown up of the Giantbomb gang, the calm presence who enjoys a good thorough story over instant headshot based gratification. But really deep down he's the C word using filth, that keeps the bomb tick tick ticking along nicely.

Bought this last week after reading the destructiod review, really glad to see it getting some additional coverage. Go buy it, worth every cent

I like the art style, but I've seen better XBL Indie games for less (cough, Shoot 1up).

It's $5 on Steam, and from what I see in that QL, totally worth it. Yet again GB's made me impulse buy a game.

You have no idea how many people don't realize that all of the Tetris pieces are just all of the possible configurations of 4 blocks. I have had to point that out to so many people.

love this little gem. Easily one of the best indie games I've tried in a while.

It means he was blocking their account from tweeting him or seeing what he's tweeting. The only way that person can then see what he's tweeted is to look at his account page or see them if somebody else retweets Ryan.

Most of the time he's joking, I think.

Haahaha at Jeff saying "true storyyy" like Jon does in the intro of Real World California. I say it like that in random situations and not everyone gets it.

Most people I know (who have had these types of thoughts) think the tetra in Tetris comes from the scoring of four lines (a 'tetris' as it's called) not the configuration of the blocks. A tetris is the scoring of four lines (not a drug euphemism). That's probably how Vinny thinks of it. Don't know though what he thinks. The block configurations weren't accidental though, I'm sure. The other stuff is a brilliant mind putting multiple meanings into a game that is one of the greatest ever created.
