You might just have a costume that would be appealing to someone obsessed by food...

@vinsanity22: You can skip the transformation animations by hitting... B, I think... anyhow, you can skip 'em...

My favorite special is now the Eyeball (though I still love the Liberty one)... made me laugh out loud the first time. "
Thank you.. now i know what i need to do .. that costume makes me hungry..

" Brad, I love you man, but you gotta play more games. Comparing Stacking to Assassin's Creed? Just because you do something to other characters when they're looking away from you? You really should pick up Space Station Silicon Valley (N64) sometime, or Messiah (PC). I demand a Quick Look Throwback! "

He was just using a current, topical game to help explain a concept. When was the last time anyone compared a game to Space Station Silicon Valley?

I sort of want to be excited for these wardrobe adventures games, but I'm just a bit lukewarm. Kind of bummed out about that.

True - but at least sending nasty messages to them has been fun, and helped me complete the Tour Guide quest.  :)

@VetleNM:  Go ahead and clear your system cache; it'll remove CQ's update along with all of your other games' updates. You'll still be able to unlock achievements and stuff, but you'll have to decline the update prompt when you reenter Costume Quest.

Unfortunate news about the bug. It's the first I've heard of it but I hope I helped.

@RoyCampbell:

Thanks for the suggestion, man, but sadly it doesn't seem to work (at least, not for me)... When declining the patch again, the game somehow reverts back to it's Trial Game state. Which means that it doesn't recognize any save games or anything like that... :(

I saved my game after applying the patch, though, so that may be the cause of the problems... Well, I sure hope they'll be able to come out with a workaround or a fix soon, because I really don't want to play all the way through the game again. Even if it's short and good, it kinda loses its charm after the first time through...

Since I'm not allowed to post my opinion about alex because of the stupid babies on this site who get angry and offended when you criticize something they like, I'm gonna go ahead and say alex, you're getting better, and it seems like you are more comfortable in this one.

also I think i'll be picking up costume quest this next year when cash allows

Was super surprised to see this just appear on the marketplace last week but haven't bought it yet but will hold off after people have posted about the bug. Will wait until it's all fixed.

My friend, you're allowed to say whatever you like about me. My preference is always that it's constructive and useful feedback, but I don't demand that everyone on this site love me by any stretch. Again, would just prefer that people give me useful feedback about what they don't like in the videos I appear in, versus just throwing out a bunch of abject insults.

why are you critiquing Alex on his performance?  that's a little weird.  the point of the video is to show a quick look at the game, so I'm not sure what you're talking about.

Whoever told you this DLC was 5 hours long lied. I had 100% completion in about an hour and a half. :/

I think a lot of the seemingly strange comments about the "performances" of the people on the Quick Looks stem from the portion of the audience that simply want to be entertained. As an example, I watch plenty of Quick Looks for games that I have absolutely no interest in ever trying/buying (like Tony Hawk Shred, or a celebrity poker game from the mid 90's) because I assume that I'll be entertained by the GiantBomb personalities.

Personally, I think Alex is great (the Kirby's Epic Yearn Quick Look is one of my favorites from this year). That being said, though, I can see how it'd be hard to come up with constructive criticism for the people that don't like him as much, though; are you supposed to say "be more funny" or "be more upbeat?" What kind of feedback would actually be useful?

Just what I was about to point out.  The actual game was about 5 hours long, but this DLC is little more than an hour.  I still loved it though.

Kinda wish they would do a Charistmas themed one. Imagine having a 40 foot tall mecha santa claus?

Double Fine is in a weird place right now.  It seems like they're still getting over their Brutal hangover, and like they're testing their legs with baby-step-type games like this.

@Alex:  You're doing good by me, man.  Don't let these random dorks in bad moods psych you out.

Combat in this game is so repetitive and simple. Unfortunately I didn't like the story nearly as much as any other Double Fine games so this and the original felt kind of like a chore at times. Honestly this is probably one of Double Fine's worst games...even though that still makes it better than most other games lol.
