Quick Look: CrimeCraft

Seems pretty much like every other online shooter to me, you just get to play Barbie with your character as well as shoot people.
 
I wouldn't pay a monthly fee though.

This game costs 10 pac-man pac-man a month.

i was in beta for this and played one session. never touched it again. didn't even know it had launched till now.

omg this game looks so horrible!

They thought of every way to make money off of you - but no thought on the actual game. You pay $49.99 for the game, then $10 bucks a month to play. Plus all the in-game advertising. Plus the gold bars which are used to buy stuff in game - which they sell on their site: 550 gold bars = $25.00 
 
plus even down to the bullshit tie ins and promotions:

This game is a rip-off and reeks of corporate bullshit and marketing execs. Don't buy it!

Even Giant Bomb can't make this game interesting to me. But then again MMO's have never really grabbed my attention until lately with Champions Online which I am considering getting and WoW:Cataclysm which seems really interesting.

When I was seeing ads for this game I thought it was just some weird Myspace game or something because the name and concept was so ridiculous. Everything about this game is just bad.

You can't jump in Guildwars. You get nothing, you lose.

When i learned this game wasnt actually free at all, i said F that!
 
it's not even out in europe yet anyway, probably never will be...well, i dunno. I still think its alright in concept...kinda!?

I played the beta of this, god was it bad.

Wow, this game looks terrible. It's a good thing the GB staff plays these so I don't have to.

Watching this depressed me from just having to think about the people,  including Jeff, that have wasted time actually playing this game.

God, I hate games with massive billboards for Nvidia, ATI, or AMD.  Like you'd ever see such a thing.  Fuck no.  If you're a game developer, don't do that shit.  Get better sponsors.

I was in Best Buy the other day, and a guy actually told me he was really excited to play this. I was just like...uh huh.

I kinda had hopes it would be good but it looks boring as hell. Champions looks so much better.

Such complexity for such an obviously crap game, so strange. Thanx for saving me cash GB!

I remember downing and trying out the beta of this and couldn't stomach an hour of it before quitting. The character creation is super limited, the controls are counter-intuitive, the animations look sloppy, the constant advertisement billboards were annoying, and the quests and combat weren't fun. 
 
If you're coming from WoW and looking for a different game to scratch the MMO itch, I definitely wouldn't recommend this one. But maybe it somehow gets better after the first hour. Maybe the quests get better, the controls work themselves out, the ads become less intrusive, and the game starts looking better. This probably has a much higher chance of happening if you're drinking heavily.

 Jeff doing this quicklook was amazing.That said, the game looks terrible.

Oh seems like there's going to be another end of an MMO soon.... GET READY!

Everything about this game sounds horribly mishandled. And someone needs to find the marketing team and hand them an ass kicking. The subscription model is the real crime.

oh man, Jeff's little rant there at the end(last minute or so) was epic. "WHY WOULD YOU PAY FOR THIS?!"

Aside from the cost I don't find this game contemptible, surprisingly.
