This is NOT Punch-Out with swords. Punch-Out was fun to play because each enemy was unique and had little quirks you could exploit. Aside from "big guy move slow" and "little man move fast" this game has none of that. Punch-Out had a bright comic art-style with funny animations which created a universe that was unique in it's place and time. This art style is stolen from Demon's Souls.  In Punch-Out you had direct control over your character, as opposed to tapping and swiping during glorified quick-time events.

Also, bitching about Giant Bomb wasting their limited resources on Apple Quick Looks is a valid complaint, in my opinion. But, full disclosure, I am vehemently anti-Apple. I hate Justin Long, fashion, overpriced electronics, Steve Jobs, and I hate Apple culture. I am disappointed to see it here on Giant Bomb, it almost seems to legitimize their products as valid gaming consoles.

Really depressing to see all the negative feedback of this community sometimes. It's never constructive.

The Infinity Blade hate is really unfounded. It's a fun game, no doubt. Obviously not as big as some other games, but judging that a large portion of the current populace owns iPads / iPhones, it fits.

Game looks amazing. Times like these I wish I had an iPhone. But enjoy your 10 minute battery life...

@IClavdivs: You clearly have never played the game, that you really think they spent there time making garbage is sad. The enemies do have unique weaknesses to exploit and if you ever get to play it there is a definite sense of visceral control over your character. Don't just hate, there is quite a bit of good gaming to be had with this title.

As for you hating Apple for whatever reason and Giantbomb "legitimizing" ios gaming, they don't get to decide what is and isn't legit gaming and if they totally leave one of the fastest growing pool of gamers in the cold what sense does that make long tern?

Besides Infinity Blade they have missed a few games that would have been great fodder for QLooks like Sword and Sworcery, Aralon and Shadow Era. I own a bunch of mac stuff ,but I'm unaware of the "culture" you're hating on. Have you ever watched the GB mailbag videos? The whole office is macs, iphones and ipads so do you hate GB as well?

@yomachaser: Oh look. I caught an Apple fanboy. I've played this game, it's over-hyped. Enemy weaknesses are NOT what I was talking about. Anyone comparing it to Punch-Out clearly does not understand what makes that game great. I understand that you're excited to finally have something that at least pretends to be a real game on your little phone or pad or whatever you're calling it now, but I've got bad news for you, it's not a real game.

That you can't admit the existence of an Apple culture discredits any attempt you might make to argue about this subject objectively. So what? So You paid $400 for your shitty phone that can't even make phone calls, and then $600 for a larger version that also can't make phone calls? You don't need to try to drag everybody else in as well. Just admit your mistake, sell your over-priced piece of fashion-tech on E-Bay to some other drooling idiot, and move on with your life.

GB covered this game because it's made by Chair, a company that they respect, not because of some perceived need to kiss the ass of the fake-gaming public. I also respect Chair and understand why they made this game: to capitalize off of suckers like yourself, so they can make another good game like Shadow Complex on a REAL game system. Also, Yes, when I watch the mailbags, I roll my eyes at all the Apple crap in the Whiskey offices. If I didn't love GB so much, I would boycott them for being so Apple-centric, but I can't do it. My love for them outweighs my hate for Apple.

doesn't seem like this multiplayer has much staying power. Besides, I stopped playing infinity blade after I couldn't transfer my save file from my ipod touch to my ipad. I had already beaten the game and wanted to play with all of my gear on my ipad, but that alas is impossible.

This is the best example of the Unreal Engine i've seen, the art direction and design is amazing

unfortunately i don't have an idevice so i can't check it out, from what i can tell i don't know if i would enjoy it, it might be a good idea to show what someone is like playing it, to show where to tap or swipe rather than just capturing the video

i hope they bring it to consoles it looks like it would make a good third person action game like the lord of the rings games
