Wow, this looks so good. I mean the setting looks so much cooler then in Fable 2. I just started Fable 2, but I'm gonna pick this up anyway.

Not gonna lie, some of brads complaints seem dumb.

Were they being the old guys from the Muppet Show?

i don't know. i think brad's critique regarding some of the new design choices, specifically concerning menu navigation, is reeealy unwarranted. i'm not sure if he realizes this, but in terms of function, it's probably a little faster to access the map, compared to previous fables (far less clunky too), and it requires no more than two button presses. i think once you get over that fact that the menu GUI is now engendered by the character itself, it's actually quite a nice and tactile system, personal taste aside. so it lacks the traditionally bland, sterile, statistic-laden navigation found in practically every RPG, which is something i can more than live without.

That interface stuff is just absolutely baffling. I can't think of any good reason why Lionhead would do any of that. It just doesn't make any sense. And not being able to see your inventory? Like ever? What kind of crazy people designed this game?

@jorbear and @ForestWarier: i thought I was the only one, Fable 1 kicked more ass than 2 or apparently 3. Seriously. Going into a different area to access your MAP. WHAT? I know every RPG shouldn't be the same, but this seems inefficient and probably gets annoying quickly. This doesn't make any sense for someone who ever played games on a PC.

Fuck you Brad, stop jerking me around. Now this game looks like it could be really fun. And it looks way better from what I can tell, damnit. 
 
My only really big issue beyond the obvious is that Fable used to be exactly about the black and white nature of good and evil, but now it seems like that is completely out. I liked Fable for making me look like a bad ass for sticking to good or evil, or for being a mage.

Over two hours of quicklooks today.  You fellows are the very best kind of crazy.  :D

I can't believe the replacement for the HUD. How could you make it worse than Fable II? 
 
It's not all bad though. I was at least left with a hankering to play Fable II again, if not the new game.  
 
Has creepy oracle lady been revealed to be evil yet?

Should have done the entire Quick Look in those British accents of theirs.

i dunno..i know GB only gave it 3 stars....and I've never played the previous 2 Fables....but...eh...i kinda want this.

You've watched a Quick Look for 50 minutes. He's played through the entire game and this is the impression it has left on him. Just saying. "

You know, I think this actually looks really fun. I thought Brad's review sounded totally fair, but seeing the game in action I know that I'm going to have to pick it up no matter what. It's more Fable (which I love), and I can accept the occasional jank. The menu system looks better than in F2 (he equipped that sward in HALF the time it would have taken previously), and I'm already in love with the general nonsense of Albion.   
 
I see no problem with an easy, soft-edged game now and then--Super Meat Boy has been hard enough for the entire year.
 
Now to find some money...

Holy crap, the women actually look like women! And not burly men!

Brads complaints seem valid, I would hate not being able to know how many potions i have and not easily be able to pull up maps and what not.  The menus in Fable II didn't even bother me.

So the whole thing about not knowing about potions and health and all that, for anyone that is playing this as well, are you just regenerating health or what? Like if you are low on health does your screen glow red forever until you heal, or does it eventually clear away typical to any game with recharging health?
 
That's what it looks like to me anyway.

The dungeon reminds me of Dungeon Siege. Can't wait for 3.

Hmmm, I was kinda put off this game by the review's description of the sanctuary and there being no way to see your health, but the sanctuary seemed to load super quick and not be so annoying.
