You know I can sort of empathise with people who are bitter towards the bro culture, but I honestly even as someone as nerdy as I am (fellow Flight Club member who has not only mastered the start-up procedure for the A-10 Charlie, but also for the F-16C Block 52), I don't share those sentiments.

I know to stay far away from this game, but at least it was amusing to watch this. The part I find funniest is how much they want to believe the douchey broness of it is actually ironic.

You couldn't really tell during the live stream but HOT DAGGUM that game looks good!

The villain is incredible. He alone makes me want to play the game.

Hmm, that weird outline around some of the characters is kind of distracting.

Can't wait for this game though. I loved Far Cry 2, and this looks quite different but still really really good.

I don't share Jeff's apparent disgust for the people in that intro, not to the extent that I would wish what happened to them, or worse, upon them anyway.

The game looks interesting and good, which I've thought for a while, but I haven't really been personally interested in playing it before this. I'm still not interested enough to jump aboard right now, but I'll definetly will take a closer look at the PC version somewhere down the line. Probably next year.

Core i7 860, Geforce 670 in that machine. The game wasn't maxed out, but pretty close to it.

Is the framerate that bad on the 360? I'm not sure if my pc can handle a game like this :(

I'm with Jeff, the voice samples for some of the side NPC's sounds super low-fi. Wonder if that's a problem in the PS3 version.

Yeah I can choose between PC version on low (if I'm lucky) or seemingly a very shaky 360 version. Hmm, I think I can live with the framerate on 360.

Jeff pretty much is spot on with how I feel about the main character in this game. I have ZERO motivation to do anything but let these characters die on this island. It's bad enough that I'm willing to pass on the game because, awesome mechanics aside, it's just that obnoxious. Let me play the game as Vass and maybe we'll talk. I mean, the character work on the other characters is fantastic, and mechanically it looks sound, but I'm not going to be able to enjoy the campaign where my motivation is "Avenge your bros and get your girl back to your summer home" so, yeah, I don't see myself playing this.

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume were these virtual characters replaced with beings of human flesh, it probably wouldn't play out the same way. Fiction usually affords people that type of humor.

That's basically the only thing video game graphics consist of. Textures and lighting.

I have a feeling that Far Cry 3 will be Giant Bomb's GotY just by looking at the QL. They all seem more excited about it than any other game that have been released this year.
