Golden Sun is one of the least generic RPG's out there. The way the battle abilities work is pretty unique and they're used out of battle for a good amount of puzzle solving. Most of the characters are pretty likeable too, and there's none of that teen melodrama that plagues most JRPG's.

My only real complaint is that you're once again playing as kids. I would have been much more interested if the plot involved the original heroes coming out of retirement to save the world again.. Instead of the whole passing the torch thing.
