This guy's attitude really put me off on the game. It's naive, undiplomatic, and gross. I don't want to support people like him.

Hmm. Tying climbing mechanics to a finite stamina bar seems like a poor design choice to me. Third person climbing mechanics are always kinda loose and unintuitive, even in games that do it relatively well.  Bad control + depletable resource for retrying mistakes incurred by bad control = yuck

On the question of how long it would take to walk across the country:
 
According to Mapquest, the distance (traveling on the roads) from Los Angeles to New York is 2792 miles.  A healthy and determined person is capable of walking about 20 miles/day on average over a sustained period.  It's possible to cover more but over this distance, and alone, let's stick with 20.   That comes out to about 140 days total assuming consistent health throughout and never taking a day off to recover.  So a year isn't out of the question I think.

I too really like the ideas that are being expld in this game - I just really wish ieing done with the AAA budget this game originally had. I think they're really on to something with the pacing, scarcity of resources and having combat be about bluff and puzzle solving at times and feeling under pressuuse of resources.

I had no idea this got changed to be an XBLA game. That's pretty crazy since it seemed like they meant for this game to be massive.

Nice ideas and potential, bad excecution, who didn't see that coming.

This actually looks pretty good. Reminds me of Enslaved.

This combat seems really unique which I like. I might just play this game.

I'd much rather play Raw Danger.

I know its been said before and I hate to be one of those guys, but man, watching Brad play games is frustrating as hell sometimes. I know talking and playing at the same time are not the easiest things to do, but still. His complete ineptitude sometimes is baffling as hell.

I was fine with Brad being Brad on this quicklook. Being patient and kind of getting lost fit the tone of the game, so it didn't bug me.

That save deletion is a bitch, though. Rough.

Well, it's no Raw Danger, that's for sure. Even though I am apparently the only person who played that (maybe someone else in the comments played Disaster Report though?)

EDIT: Good Quick Look day for Brad. He played this and Nexiuz pretty competently:) Seems pretty soul crushing at the end there, though. Sorry Brad.

Well I really wish this was a better made game in mechanics, as the ideas themselves seem cool.

You know, I love the *idea* of this game. In part because I'm unabashedly in love with the end of the world and games that take place after it. But, actually seeing the execution is leaving my apocalypse-boner kind of at half mast. The game looks really compartmentalized - encounter puzzle, encounter puzzle, traversal puzzle, item puzzle, next. And the climbing seems really gamey. It has mechanics and they're showing through the skin of the game. That's not good. It really breaks the immersion, and for a game that builds on atmosphere that's downright sinful.

What a terrible save system. Wish this game executed better and with less fugly textures (but memory constraints on XBLA, etc).

Was the beached ship a matte background-type layer, because it didn't look quite 'real' in the game's space.

Brad is awful, he obviously had to go where he told him to jump... He never tried. Had to hang off ledge and jump left... VOILA... lol. Play some Tomb Raider it helps.

This game looks pretty bad, also doesn't help that it came out on the same day PS Plus members can get Journey. Also another small indie game called Mass Effect 3

This game actually looks neat. $15 seems like a good price just for the novelty I think. Now I wish I hadn't let my brother borrow the 360.

I guess I'm alone on this, but I think it looks fucking awesome. Post-apocalyptic setting with minimalist combat and extremely stringent survival mechanics? Yes please.

I just hope it does well enough to warrant a PC release.

Looks pretty good... but I don't know if I would shell out $15 for it.

I don't mean to offend anyone with this highly controversial opinion, but this game doesn't look so good.
