First next-gen quicklook. Hopefully the game isn't garbage seeing as how it's one out of two reasons to even get a PS4 at launch. I'll be waiting until all dem Japanese games get out on it, so about 3-4 years.

Edit: I guess this isn't the first next-gen quicklook. Oops.

Double edit: This game looks pretty garbage. I mean I guess for a console game it LOOKS nice, but this just looks like another Killzone/FPS that I could get any year. Also that AI is horrid.

Man, every quick look GB does ends up being the same mission/level as what everyone's seen in previews. Remember when they did the same portion of Diablo 3 at least 4 different times? Beta, live stream, PC quick look, ps3 quick look.

Would be nice to see more stuff no one has seen before, even if its just the following mission.

I guess this is as close as we're gonna get to a game seen from the Helghast perspective.

Visually it looks nice but gameplay looks pretty average.

Eehh... visually, sure, it's alright (though honestly, post Battlefield 4, Crysis 3 etc. is nothing too special), but the gameplay looks all kinds of boring. Levels are empty and lifeless (all those blank-faced NPCs not even acknowledging the player's presence), and the shooting looks clunky, slow and uninteresting (oh boy, 2 enemy types in the entire fucking game!). The super-linear, super-scripted nature of the ame reminds me just how fucking awful most shooters are these days, but this takes it to new heights as even their heavily scripted stuff is not the least bit compelling.

And, just like a lot of modern shooters that go graphics-crazy and feature tons of bloom lighting, lens flare, etc. it actually gets in the way and makes it hard to see and tell what's going on (I had the same issue even with Crysis 2, and they added glowing red indicators around enemies because they knew it was impossible to tell what was going on). Frankly this just looks like a confusing, disorienting mess of a game. Graphics are simply a visual representation and contextualizing of game mechanics and systems, and when they fail to properly facilitate those, the visual design of the game has failed, as it seems to have in Killzone here.

Man, I really regret purchasing (especially since I already bought Battlefield 4) Killzone during Amazon's Buy 2 Get 1 Free promotion. My interest in this game has always been minimal, but I guess I wanted at least one first-party game? A technical showpiece? Oh well, I suppose I can always sell it.

Looks like a KillZone game: incredibly unexciting, but pretty. Sadly, this is probably the highlight of their launch lineup.

Never liked Killzone, played them all.. this looks OK but still not really interested.

Looks like a Killzone game with a bit more colors? Probably would've bought this if I was getting a PS4 at launch.

Just sold my PS4 on craigslist for $500. This launch lineup is uninteresting to me compared to the Xbox One's. I'll try and get a PS4 next holiday season, hopefully as part of a bundle.

It sure looks pretty, and that's all I wanted from this game.

Man it seemed like Jeff was almost intentionally trying to make the game look bad in that first encounter. I'm sure he wouldn't do that but my lord man, just pull out the sniper and shoot the guys on the balcony.

Gamereactor claims this game was made in 2 years, with a budget of 30 million £. If that's true this game is very impressing.

It looks good, but there is just so little depth to it beyond those looks. The lack of interaction with your environment, the lame AI, the somewhat boring generic story beats...

Hopefully this is just another case of launch titles not really being much more than tech demos looking forward to see what other games bring to the table later down the line.

Haven't seem much of this game, but a lot of people were saying this was different and new from the other Killzone games. Kind of looks boring to me, reviews don't seem to be great for the game either.

looks alright, but i would think most people come to killzone for the multiplayer at this point.

they usually do new and interesting stuff like the changing objectives mode in 2, and the cinematic story multiplayer mode in 3.

Hopefully they'll have something cool this time as well.

Looks awesome. Really enjoyed Killzone 2/3, they remain some of my favourite last gen shooters and this one looks even better. Love that the story sounds really interesting, the OWL seems to a add a lot to gameplay. And damn is it pretty (and for the PC elitists that say it's nothing a PC couldn't do, I have a serious gaming rig that sleeps through Crysis 3. And this looks easily as pretty with a more interesting art style).

Shame the AI is not more impressive though. And I wish it had co-op like KZ3, and the co-op expansion is only a horde mode :(

But seriously, Arthur Gies at Polygon really didn't like this. I'll guess I have to watch the quick look, but at least it looks mad pretty and runs at a smooth sixty.
