@mcghee: Yep, this is a bigger problem than most people care to notice. Even when I get the option to up my field of view, my perspective might still be impossibly low. Not very comfortable to look at.
Not to mention how it breaks the immersion.

Sad that the AI isn't great...Killzone has been a good series for enemy AI. I guess they didnt want to bother with it in this one. Such a disappointment.

Thought Killzone 2 was great, but never had any intrest to play anymore Killzone. This one looks great visually, but seems like a pretty bad FPS.

It looks like a combination of this and Syndicate could be really cool, shooting looks solid in this but they don't do much with it, combining the enemy and level design philosophies of syndicate, with the powers, weapon types and art style of both and the graphical fidelity of this could make for an awesome game.

It looks fine graphically, but it sure looks boring to play.

This one looks interesting, but 2 and 3 bored me to tears. Still, may have to check it out since it's one of the few compelling exclusives.

This really looks awesome and fun, I don't really see the boring bit... can't wait to play it when the PS4 finally comes out here in Australia.

Can someone name an FPS with better enemy AI than F.E.A.R.? I can't and that game came out 8 years ago.

Part of the problem is that the FPS went more toward bigger set pieces and scripting, with tactical combat taking a backseat. Modern Warfare kicked it into high gear with AI as dumb as rocks. It's why I played those campaigns once, while stuff like Firefight in Halo and those extra missions in F.E.A.R. were endlessly replayable.

F.E.A.R. kicked ass, hell of a game. But the set piece stuff was very limited and it relied on a combat sandbox approach. Hopefully this gen developers will start being able to find a happy medium. I actually thought Crysis 2 started getting the approach right. AI wasn't perfect, but it was certainly better. And it had its crazy scripted moments.

I should really open up my copy of Crysis 3.

Those frog ninjas in FEAR...dear God.

@assinass: In KZ 3 I had problems seeing enemies in MP so I turned on colorblind mode which solves the problem

Do you have to be colour bind for that to work? Sounds like a flaw if it's that bad. I'm not, but still seeing enemies from this quick look was not easy. Maybe I'd need to play it myself to see if it's different.

No in KZ3 enemies don't have their names in red unless you choose color blind mode. Besides that the game looked the same. In Killzone Shadow Fall I haven't had any problems seeing enemies in multiplayer. Some maps like the forest map has a lot of god rays and that sometimes makes it difficult but besides that "colorblind" mode seems to be on by default in KZ:SF

Very funny to hear Brad call the PS4 "pretty powerful" when the conversation would later shift to how these consoles were pretty purposefully underpowered and all, hence the need for the Pro and all. It's always difficult to know exactly what a console is capable of at launch so I wonder when that understanding of this generation's stuff started to change over.
