Is there a concept for games where rolling/dashing/strafing makes your character move faster than regular run speed?

I guess these adverts for The Big Live Live Show Live must be because Giant Bomb will be hosting it themselves. Streaming from their own site. Anyway, Lara Croft looks interesting. Might get. Keeley Hawes does a good job as Ms. Croft.
