They NEED to change the sound for the buzzer. It's the same sound as my alarm clock and causes an involuntary response of me shuddering every time it goes off.

the controls, including sack boys physics are completely customizable in the game. MM levels will also have varying physics as well

GodDAMMIT Brad, be a bit more patient. Maybe you were pressed for time, that I could understand. But if you were hurrying through everything and mashing the buttons to make the Quick Look quicker - don't worry, we won't mind the extra seconds of loading if we get to see the content at the end of it.
Okay?
Edit: Good things come to those who wait... WORDS TO LIVE BY, BRAD

While I see the merit in some of that user designed content stuff, I generally enjoy games designed by people trained and paid to do so-you know, the experts.

I'm sure there will be one or two revolutionary ideas that evolve from the tools in the game, but in general it will likely be a bunch of crap.

" I think we need to make sure Brad doesn't get into so many open concept quick looks in future.  Brad's a good guy but the indecision to follow through with showing things is beyond annoying.  Can't expect Ryan to be there all the time to shepherd decisions of the staff especially on video.  This is not to say that Brad doesn't do well in reviews or anything just that his penchant for showing the same 30 seconds of a game over and over for a cheevo or scrolling through lists of activities only to never choose one is not fun viewing. "

I agree with this and various other comments that are on here already.
I do get the whole thing about QLs being spontaneous, authentic and imperfect first glances at games and I usually truly enjoy this - it puts Giantbomb ahead of the curve as far as game coverage goes in my opinion.
But in videos like this it just ends up standing in the way of showing the game in any meaningful way on top of being annoying as all hell!
If you're just gonna randomly spam buttons with absolutely no rhyme or reason, you could just as well toss the controler to a monkey and see what happens ;)
To be fair LPB2 is one of those rare moments that got tedious since you're generally a lot better than this. The few bits I saw of the game looked pretty interesting too.

The beta for this game is incredible. It's insane what people are doing. GiantBomb Quick Look doesn't do the best job showing it off, but whatever.

Brad is one of my favorite GB personalities but watching him play games sometimes is just painful!  I mean I have friends like him that play games a certain way and excel at certain genres, but are definitely not suited to play/demonstrate others =P

Wow alot of anger at Brad on this one. To be fair, if he keeps restarting the download by pressing X there was no indication of that, and this is a beta so that is a bug and should be reported to be fixed as if it happens when the game is shipped alot of ppl are impatient and would probably do the same thing.

All I'm sayin is its not entirely Brad's fault. His actions are indicitive of alot of gamers and thats what a beta should be for... finding whats wrong. Of course these days Betas generally just hype a game, but they still have a purpose of fixing bugs.

I was fine with the Quick Look. The game is obviously not finished and still shows LBP2 will have a very robust tool set and myriad of gameplay types possible. It's still looks to be one of the best at what it does, even if I'm not into this type of game.

As a tool set, LBP was great and this (once they have ironed out the kinks) should be much better. However LBP as a game was pretty terrible. Apart from the hardcore - the user-creation stuff was way out of the comfort zone for a regular player.

Not sure what Sony expects to happen with the sequel given the lacklustre sales of the PS3 and PSP version. It's not as if they didn't market the hell out of Sackboy and MM - did people buy a PlayStation to play this type of game?

I will have to disagree with you here, yes there will be a lot of crap but that is only because everyone is not as skilled. But there are some great levels out there that even pass the level of creative drive MM has done. You just have to find them which is not very hard and it a shame that so many people write it off without going back and checking to see what some of these talented people can do.

About "Sackometry Wars" (and perhaps the entire content creation component itself):  Once the novelty wears off, that is, the sense of wonder generated by the realization that you can create something as elaborate as this, and you're left with a slowed down, second-rate knock off of Geometry Wars, what incentive do you have to keep playing?  I mean, I love LBP's aesthetic and art style but I dislike its core engine.  I wonder how much that will affect my experience with the content as a whole.

EDIT:  Should've watched past the 10 minute mark before writing anything :-)
