Quick Look: Mass Effect 2: Stolen Memory

Made me laugh how they mentioned they where would be minor spoilers because it's a post game save and then detail just about every plot point in the first 5 minutes :D

I never noticed before but Brad looks just like Sheperd!  Damn!  I'm gonna have that in my head every time I play the game. 

PS: BRAD! Mordan died because you didn't upgrade his Omni-Tool.  The upgrade would have been in the "Prototype" section before he died.

I've been playing ME2 for the last couple hours on a new play-through, and discovered Kasumi on-ship actually has much more dialogue than may be immediately apparent. You'd be remiss to just talk to her once or twice and forget about her.

Just finished this dlc, it was pretty fun.  Not much too it other than walking in, stealing a thing and killing a few guys but eh I look forward to using Kasumi in future ME2 dlc.  
 
Her shadow strike is wayyyy over powered.

I'm pretty sure i know why they sell this for a few bucks: it has quite a bit of voice work. Whipping up a few levels with a few programmers like firewalker is one thing, but paying all the voice actors to come back into the booth for another recording session is something else.

Really, try the free FireWalker missions if you don't believe me. The complete lack of voice acting in those areas is jarring, and i would have preferred if they'd recorded lines for it and sold it for a few bucks as well.

I always get a weird cognitive dissonance hearing anyone else's Shepard. Since they all have the same voice, it just weirds me out cause it's not MY Shepard.

if you are playing it through again i think she is worth it. 
she is a good party member, but i wouldn't buy it just for playing her mission.

The content itself looks pretty interesting but I'm not liking that character at all.  The design of Kasumi seems completely uninspired with basically the parts from Miranda combined with Tali, and Martin Sheen's eyes thrown in for good measure.  I think the voice actress sounds pretty good, but the interplanetary space thief angle is a little hard for me to swallow.  All she does in this video is brag about how great her skills are and yet she somehow needs Shepard's help for this one job.  Also I would think if the the council races could figure out space travel, that they might be able to concoct some sort of security system that couldn't be circumvented by any body with a cloaking device.  The way she follows Shepard while in cloak just reminds me of Jack (not that one), the helper robot from Gears of War.  Regardless of how I feel, it was an awesome quick look.  Thank you.

33 minutes! Thats half the DLC.

I dont see the point to play dlc for this... the dlc wont affect Mass 3... Right?

That stealth move Kasumi did at the end was dope. I probably won't purchase any ME2 DLC though until I replay through the game, which won't be for awhile. Or until the DLC is on sale for w/e reason.

Meh, just played the extra mission. Was ok, but they better bring her over to ME3 for any sort of value.

I didn't lose anyone in ME2.... In fact I'm not even sure if I was ever threatened to lose anyone. Does it have to do with the combination you choose for the 'away' teams?

For Tad and anyone else who's looking at my comment before starting this video up, yes, this QL is full of spoilers.  The guys will warn you and they're not just saying that... you should really finish the game before watching this.

You'd think for being a master thief, Kasumi would also come in some kind of disguise.

When Kasumi was saying they would need dude's voice print to get past the security, I was totally making a Sneakers reference in my head, and then Vinny said it out loud!

Kasumi's color commentary in Hock's vault makes it my second favorite loyalty mission after Garrus'. Still not sure I would buy it if I wasn't such a hard core ME fan.

I did this DLC a couple of days ago. It's awesome!

I still need to get into Mass Effect.
