I played 60 hours of the multiplayer co-op on the demo and I'm going to play at least as much on the retail game. It is solid and a lot of fun.

Edit: Melee is super effective. What are you talking about Jeff?

Filmgrain sucked in ME1, Brad. In ME2 filmgrain was better but I turned it off after the first playthrough.

I didn't like film grain, but it was a neat little touch that complemented the direction that Bioware was going with ME1. I really miss the whole slick sci-fi motif of the first game.

(I actually had no idea there was film grain in 2, must've turned it off without knowing)

Woah... on PC you just walk through that scanner. Loading is almost instant everywhere.

Run animation is even worse for female Shepard. In fact, I think it's exactly the same, just with a female body which makes it look really strange.

Game is buggy as hell. I've had two combat scenarios break because of scripting errors so far. Last enemy doesn't load, end of combat doesn't trigger, game over. :/ Game feels rushed in weird ways.

@AlisterCat: Yeah wow coming back to this now after i beat the game and on PC that scanner just passes across you once and you keep running. You have to stop to hear the dialog or you can run right past it.

If Jeff was just going to shoot the whole time and ignore his powers, he should have played the Soldier.

I love how Jeff tried to avoid letting Brad see EDI to no avail. Spoilers... told ya.

The fact that the story only took Jeff thirty hours is very discerning. I have only 3 main story missions and I've already put in 22 hours in the game. I know he doesn't have the time to spend more on the game, but it's in no way a 30 hour game.

Once you've completed a lot of side content, the main campaign goes by pretty fast. I managed to do most of everything at around 35 hours. Also: this whole disparity of how 'dire' the invasion is just doesn't make sense whatsoever. Liara even mentions that the full cycle of The Reaper's cleansing would take about 100 years, as they're attempting to indoctrinate/harvest advanced life forms in favor of sparing the less adept. You're really only experiencing a fraction of that.

@forestofdeath: Odd, I'm at 32 hours, I have plenty of side missions left and I've only started Rannoch.

RIP BioWare, 1996-2009.

I don't even know how that's possible, I have 24 hours in right before the endgame stuff and that's doing everything, all the major side quests and some of the minor ones. You probably left your game paused for 10 of those hours.

Regardless of our varying play times, I don't think length should remotely be a gripe for ME3 (at least it appeared so in this QL).

I don't see how it isn't. I like to explore and take in the atmosphere of my games. I've managed to put in 35+ hours in each Mass effect game I've played, this is no different.

Just beat it. I went to the right then just watched the other variants on YouTube.

After 36+ hours, the little problem I have is not with the ending(s), but having no Krogan party member. Enjoyed it, though.

i was surprised by Jeff's 30 hr play time because mine was 56 hours upon completion, and I felt like I did everything at a relatively steady pace (nor did I die but a couple times). does anyone else share this statistic with me (or at least a comparable playtime)?

some background on my playthrough: everyone survived in ME2 and I tried to exhaust every piece of gameplay in ME3. I also had around 7000 total galactic readiness at the end

Didn't watch this QL until after I finished the game. Jeff is like a prophet about the way people reacted to this game.

Man this version compared to the PC version. That load for the war room on PC takes one scan of Shepard instead of half a billion like seen in the quicklook. Graphics are also noticeably worse and the HUD/UI elements are HUUUUUUUGE.

Jesus christ the load for the appearance menu is long. That's fucked up.

Man so much wrong stuff in this QL , The N7 missions in ME3 have way more context than the ones in 2 , even though those used a lot of different enviroments most if not all of them didn't feature any voice acting at all , at least the combat heavy N7 missions in 3 have a mission briefing with Hacket and Shepard talking. Also the Reapers took centuries in wiping out the Protheans and they weren't even ready for them... also you know whatever most of everything they've said is so misguided and wrong mainly from Jeff wich I come to expect from his Jaded self but come on! 30 hour game? he obviously just blew through it so dissapointed by this quick look.

I was around 50 I think, but I did play on Insanity from the get go. It doesn't matter if you don't die allot. On higher difficulties it will take significantly longer to progress regardless. Due to increased enemy health and shields/barriers, more enemies at any given point and so on.

I often had to find a safe place to regain health and shields, revive my allies and so forth. On Normal, I expect you pretty much point, shoot and proceed.

Also, I talk to everyone in the game. If you don't do that, that'll save you significant time.
