It's like they had a cool idea and then made every terrible design decision possible: active reload (wtf?), boring missions, shitty boss fights, respawning enemies, few health pickups, non-automatic loot pickup, and confusing and slightly useless online play. Bummer, because it looked neat but seems like an exercise in frustration.

Just in case anyone cares, bosses running away from you is not at all as egregious as this in Monster Hunter. Not even close.

I've messed around with this some over the last week, it's enjoyable. I have not had the boss running away issues that Brad had. I opted to go for the most damage possible with my gun spec, and there's no reason to waste time killing everyone on your way back to a boss. I've had them run away maybe twice max, but I can usually kill them on the first or second try.

the starting weapon probably does twice the damage of the weapon brad was using, im shocked he beat the boss at all.

I'm not usually one to defend a game from a Quick Look, but this was a really bad showing of a really good game.

Yeah, the game is not bad. But it was not the fault of GB how this QL turned out. I don't remember the bosses leaving so early, but I played all that while it was in early access so maybe they changed it.

He really didn't. Besides, the game is not about speed running. Sometimes you need to heal, or want to collect materials. The boss disappearing literally the same second as he enters the "ring" is just bad programming. Weirdly enough, that wasn't the case when I played it like 6 months or even a year ago?

Having just completed that very mission, I don't think that's what it is. I tried jumping over it and you can't move past it, I tried passing my gun over it and that didn't trigger anything. I beat the boss on the first round and it stuck around WAY longer than most of the encounters in this QL. It almost seemed like an AI script glitch.

It's so painful watching Brad play video games sometimes. I screamed "WHAT ARE YOU DOING???" at my computer no less than 3 times during this QL.
