Quick Look: NBA Jam

That game looks so badass. My only complaint, is that the backboard and whole basket didn't come crashing down at the end of the video, with some gorilla flexing or something. I know it's pretty picky, considering all of the things they've done right!

i don't even like basketball yet i want this on 360

I was hoping to see a boss fight but the game does look as fun as it used to be in the arcade. I might wait for the downloadable versions though. Even if they are missing all of the remix stuff.

This looks strikingly similar to the only other NBA Jam game I've played: the version for the Game Boy. I can picture the tiny black and green graphics doing the exact same moves (down to practically the same animations).

Gotta admit, had a little shiver of nostalgia looking at this, especially when I heard BOOMSHAKALAKA. Was a bit nervous about this, might have to pick it up. There were good times had with this game. 
 
Between this & SSF IV, may have to bust out the old cassette mixes we used to play along with these games. Yes, cassettes. Google it.

man, watching this makes me want a updated version of Blitz and Hitz, had more fun with those in my childhood :/

I'd love to buy this on XBLA, instead of a full disc-based version, mainly because it's one of those games I'd be too lazy to put the disc in for. Although, a more built-up multiplayer metagame with challenges, leaderboards, rankings, unlockable stuff, etc., would be awesome.

Good times, and I can totally see this working for my generally non-gaming family. My wife and I had a blast with NBA Street and I'd love to introduce her to Jam :D So excited for this.  Day one. Day one. 

Less excited than I was a month ago. If the 360 version doesn't have the remix tour I don't really see a reason to get it. Online against strangers is never fun so I think I might be passing on this now. I don't have a Wii so until they add the remix tour to the other versions I'll have to wait on it.

How much is this? It looks great but not worth 50 imho not because I dislike it but because it seems... iunno... more easily made than last NbA Jam.

Looks really fun. I might pick this up to play at my friends’, since I don’t have a Wii.

When this comes to the 360, I need to go rob somebody so I can go out and get this bastard and play exclusively as the Rockets. Seriously, what the hell is this? Play as the city you're from or not at all. If you are not from a major city, or for some ridiculous reason you are but you're city isn't good enough to have a team, then you pick whichever team is based closest to where you're from. If you have lived in multiple cities with teams, then you are allowed to choose between them. For example, my brother's dad lived in Chicago, and here in Houston. If he were playing, he would choose either the Bulls or the Rockets, anything else would just be stupid.

This looks like EA hired the JibJab animators for this game... 
But I loved this game back on the SNES! Looking forward to the XBLA version!

I am so torn about whether or not to get this game on Wii or wait for the 360 download...

This looks really fun. I never really played the NBA Jam series but I love NBA Street, especially the first two and obviously NBA Street was very inspired by Jam. I was going to wait for the 360/PS3 version but I'm itching to play this now, I should get a friend at EA to grab me this on the cheap while I wait for the 360 one.

Totally cannot wait for the 360 version! 

Love Coonce's enthousiasm, wanting to play the game more after the Quick Look is pretty telling of how fun the game is.
