Quick Look: NCAA Football 14

I actually wasn't aware of where Old Dominion was located. I learned something today!

I went to Central Michigan University!! Graduated with bachelors in Entrepreneurship and double minors in sales and marketing. I wish I could go back best 4 years of MY LIFE (2005-2009), dated a chick there for the next year and went up there every weekend in 2010.

Central is one of the top ten party schools in the US, also girl to guy ratio of 3 to 1! The campus is sorrounded by Farmland and Indian Reservation with a huge Sweet ass Casino called Soaring Eagle. Bunch of nice bars and clubs with only local college students or their friends from other parts of Michigan. No locals ever and no old people, best college town ever. I hated Western and state and Michigan because those are huge cities with a ton of people. Mount Pleaseant (CMU) population drops by a huge number when summer hits and becomes a ghost town, some ppl stay and work and party. I always went back home to berbs 40 minutes north of the D.

And we played Ball STate all the time, pretty good games verse them!

Leave it to GB to take something I have no interest in and make it enjoyable.

As someone who doesn't follow American Football at all: what is the appeal of a game with an amateur/college-license without real names or likenesses over a game with an official NFL-license?

Literally 15 minutes of criticizing college logos is what I come to Giant Bomb Sports Crew QLs for.

Yes. They do howl at games.

It seems like the Infinity Engine is making a mess out of these games. Random tripping didn't work in Brawl and that game isn't even about precision; why would they think it's welcome in a football game?

Then again, I don't play sports games, so maybe people love that stuff.

I was wondering why this video was so long. Then I got to the favorite team part. They are seriously going to riff on every single team name and logo? :-)

I really hope they keep up these three man Quick Looks; I am digging them!

Not that I come to these QLs looking for high level play, but it made me laugh that Vinny was still using the Tecmo Bowl strategy of running backwards and then throwing it all the way down field. And then wondered what he was doing wrong.

College football is huge in the US. There are a lot of people that actually prefer watching NCAA football than NFL. It's more about school pride than the players themselves, I guess.

Great logo quick look but amazed at the really large amount of lazy as hell college logos out there. Even if your school mascot isn't that great at least make the logo something more than just a U for a college in Florida. I do like the past college sport video games where you replaced the whole team with mascots.

Damnit, still no Radford University. I know we just got a football team like three years ago and we haven't won shit, but one of these days we're gonna be in this game.

I feel like I might've said this last year on the Madden QL and I know they're just goofing around anyway, but @vinny plays every football game like it's Tecmo Bowl and @jeff plays every football game like it's NFL Blitz, which gives Jeff like a 10-year head start. Note to Vinny, immediately running backwards and heaving the ball 80 yards is no longer a recipe for success. Especially if you're passing with your punter.

As a graphic designer who has zero knowledge about american football I have really enjoyed 15 min of this QL :)
