I'm with Jeff and Vinny - co-op looks like chaotic fun, but goddamn are these "New SMB" games stale at this point.

Oh Brad...

I love the way the gophers waddle after you at super high speed.

The constant pausing everytime someone grows/shrinks is such a dealbreaker for me. It was so annoying that I stopped playing the first one of these.

@TurboMan is gonna have a field day with this one.

Well the co op looks a little hectic but I shall not be buying 4 extra Wii remotes anyway. Single player looks funs as always.

I'm pretty sure that was Dr. Mario music.

Looks and sounds like the other mario games.

Dead Baby Yoshis made me laugh so hard, they bastards killed them so quickly.

But honestly baby yoshis look really weird. They creep me out.

The backgrounds and the graphics overall invoke a really open feeling I think. It makes it seem like there is a world beyond the level that you're in which I think is a really good decision. Super Mario World did that very well and I think it is great that they are finally making a game like that one.

So, according to Nintendo, this is supposed to be THE Wii U launch game to get, right? Kinda surprised it doesn't support the other controllers because of that.

Also, I'm only half-way through the video so far, so excuse me if this changes somehow, but the gamepad gameplay here seems really boring as opposed to the playing with wii remotes.

I still think that instead of Toads, it should be Wario and Waluigi as the other characters.

Wario and Waluigi are off-limits, one has his own games and the other hasn't been in any mainline Marios. Though I always thought it'd be cool if the koopalings threw out Bowser and Peach alongside the bros for a sort of Mario Bros. 2 thing, kinda like Super Paper Mario too. You'd have to make the levels slightly slower to make them okay for Bowser, but it'd be awesome if they all had different attributes and a special ability or something. But nah, Miyamoto is too concerned with keeping the status quo and refuses to do anything remotely innovative in these games...

"You can't play with 2 players using the gamepad and one wii remote" and "This game doesn't support the pro controller".

The 4 + 1 player mode was actually hilarious. I expect Mario QLs to numb me into boredom, but instead I got squinty laughter eyes.
