The pad works alright, judging by the demo, motion control is just for recharging the sword's battery.

Always thought this game looked cool. Not cool enough to buy a wii of course. Glad I can finally play it.

let's be honest there, this is not a game that benefits from a higher graphical fidelity, it's something that it's insanity can be appreciated regardless of it's visuals.

Also the intro is the same as the original wii version.

A tip for all of you: this game looks way cooler than it plays. Really. If the aesthetic isn't enough to carry you for the whole game, it WILL become tedium.

I don't know how I feel about the updated graphics.

It looks less blurry than the Wii version, but not exactly better. It is lacking charm.

Wait, this game isn't out in the US yet? I've had the game lying around for months, never got around to actually playing it though.

Loved NMHs on the Wii, and will be picking this up to play through again on PS3. What can I say, I'm a Suda51 fan.

I wonder how you perform the extra-power attack on this version. From memory for the Wii you pressed A just as Travis swung the finishing move.

I really don't want to press R3 and move it in a direction every second.

Man, I love No More Heroes so much...But pushing R3 each time is a bother. Hm. Maybe I'll get this if it goes on sale or something. Buying a new version of a game I already own is never an easy sell.

I think that Intro was exactly how the Wii version began. Also I think the Wii version may have looked better, sure this is HD but it's slightly less stylized.

Love the games intro, so classy ; p
Beat this game almost 3 months ago with European release.
Wonder if the sells for PS3 version in us will differ.
Really wish we could see No More Heroes 2 on HD console some time next year.

Making you press R3 over and over is such a mistake.  Also, locking the options in the demo so I can't even see what options will be in the game seems dumb.  I liked the Wii version and was ready to like the PS3 one, but Ef that.

Maybe it's better wtih a Move controller.

Yeap the intro was exactly the same, and the Wii version wasnt as sharp but looked better imo. The only thing that's different from what i've seen in the demo is the inner monologue when you're fighting Death Metal. I heard in the final game there's some extra costumes for boss's and some extra levels. I wouldnt recommend playing the game without move controls, it feels alot more vesceral unique with them, and there are mini-games made specifically for motion controls so there's that.

But if you're just getting it for the craziness and couldnt care less about gameplay then rent it, it's fairly long but any self respecting gamer should be able to beat it in a week.

Tried it using the Move, feels really...weird....

EDIT: I mean the demo. As much as I want to get the Asian version(Red Zone) right now, I don't have a Debit Card(Yet), so I have to wait till Aug. 16 for it to hit my retail store.

With the wii version it just seemed more fitting that the environments were empty. NMH was a game with enough style that I just forgot it wasn't in HD. Also the part with Helter Skelter the drifter was ripped from the origional trailer when it was in the wii verision. Here it is redone and doesn't look as stylized so it doesn't look as nice.

I thought that there was the monologue in the wii version as well.

This straight up looks like it controls worse than the Wii Version. NMH is one of the games that used that control scheme really well. Everything felt immediate and smooth. Having the R3 click before the death moves is a misstep.

Am I the only one who thinks the original looked better? I liked the insane dark black shadows of the original, the lighter shadows here almost change the mood of the game.

This game has problems with tearing, specially when riding the bike and in cutscenes. I usually don't care about that in games but here you really notice it.

Hm... I love the original No More Heroes when it first came out, and I loved No More Heroes 2. I got rid of both when I got rid of my Wii, so maybe I'll pick this up with it drops for PS3. Anyone know if it's coming out for a full 60 or the rerelease 40 bones or so?

Yeah, really missing the insanely contrasting shadows from the original.  They looked pretty fantastic.  The controls on this one also seem more than a little off, but hopefully that would be solved with the Move controller.

I'll be getting this. I should wait because it's for the story. But I won't. Probably the better game, I'm winding down SotD right now, last Act.And I agree about another Killer7, but how would he do it? That was one game that reveled in being a rail shooter. Though maybe he could bust out of that, or hybrid it somehow. I'd accept a rail shooter myself, others might not.

This somehow looks even jankier than the Wii version. Lots of weird animation problems and odd hit-boxes on attacks and stuff. No More Heroes on the Wii wasn't a technical masterpiece but everything felt solid, and it looks like the same can't be said for this PS3 port.
