Think of it like soul food where the bag is a supposed to be see through and greasy at the bottom. At Papa Vinnys hair on your pizza lets you knowit's delicious.

This game looks less interesting than Flappy Bird from a gameplay standpoint. Like... how long could anyone over the age of three possibly get any enjoyment out of this?

There should be more moving things on the levels.

You push one button to play Flappy Bird.

In Paparazzi, you have to either move the controller around to get your opponent in frame then take their picture, or you have to move around and dodge the frame while collecting fans and maybe even power-ups.

In terms of things to do (which generally makes things more interesting), you're objectively wrong.

Anyway, this would be better on the Wii U Gamepad, or maybe even SmartGlass, anything that restricts the paparazzi's field of view, because as of now it just seems too easy for them.

The concept is great. A longer cooldown on the paparazzi's camera would significantly help the balance, though.

This game has a neat premise but it doesn't look very balanced. It also seems a little light on modes, or spins on the basic gameplay.

Whos making these kinds of games and who are they for? People who were frozen in the 70s and are just now being defrosted?

I feel like the "paparazzi always wins" problem could be solved very easily one of two ways:

1. Have the meter fill up with Dignity every time the shooter misses.

2. Give the shooter a limited roll of film.

Yeah, there needs to be a penalty for the paparazzi taking a bad photo. I thought the red dollar sign meant that player was losing money when it happened, but it sure didn't look like it. The celebrity can never be sneaky enough to counteract the paparazzi just furiously mashing the shutter button.

I loved Vinny's glee everytime he played as a celebrity :D

@tonyblue87: the first you mentioned already happens, the bar increases if the paparazzi miss and it's clearly indicated by the red dollar signs preceded by a minus

Even though this seems slight, I think I'll still check it out for myself. Might be good for a quick little bit of drunken fun with a mate or my wife after a night out.

How is this even a game? The quick look went through literally all of the content and got bored of all of it within 15 minutes. The balance is so off that the celebrity never won a single game.

You can make an argument that it's only $5 but you know what, so are a lot of classic games on steam. This looks like a 79p Iphone app.

Totally. Was this playtested? Is it intentionally unbalanced? Balanced solutions seem so simple to think of.

Whyyyyyy would you not implement some sort of ammo system for the paparazzi player in this game. You can literally just spam the button when the player is in frame and they can't do anything about it. Yeah you lose points when they're not in the frame but the penalty isn't severe enough to deter random button mashing once you know where they are. Yuck.

I feel like it isn't so much a problem of balance as it is a problem of their play styles. They ran away from the camera rather than moving behind things making it easy to nab a bunch of shots.

This reminds me a fair bit of Hidden in Plain Sight, which also seems like a better and more balanced game (at least, it was a lot of fun watching Danny O'Dwyer et al. play it during the Extra Life Marathon last year).

This game's silly, and I like what it's doing a lot.

Would be interesting to see how much the balance would change if the penalty for bad pictures went way up and the dignity recovery people's value went up significantly as well, or if it is so poorly balanced that even those two tweaks aren't enough (also add a bit more to the level to give the celeb more hiding time, but perhaps make it slowly burn dignity so they have to choose when to bolt out).
