This game deserved better.

@tehpickle: No, you're right in this case, and shouldn't be made to feel poorly. Actually, you shouldn't anyway, but the point is I agree with you.

I've had the same blow up as you on these forums (although I think mine was during the Chrono Trigger ER where there were episodes full of aimless wandering because of skipped text boxes), and it's an issue I honestly think needs to be addressed. The whole "it's hard to play and talk on camera" thing I totally buy, but I have no idea why they refuse to compensate for it in any way when it comes to these simple lack-of-knowledge issues.

Here's one solution: hire an intern to sit to the side of video recordings of games with a printout of the controls, a walkthrough, and any other relevant information he can find, so he can say things like "there's a run button" or, "you have to go here". Or they could, you know, do that themselves. I understand they're busy.

I love Giantbomb and their video content in particular. I'm not gonna cancel my sub, or anything. It's just frustrating that they take the "you guys are just being mean because it's the internet" or "you don't understand what it's like" stance on this one. Occasionally the confusion is funny and cute, but that's pretty rare compared to it being irritating. And it's not like it's uncommon - check out today's other quick look (Mickey) for evidence of that.

Not running in this game is like not running in Super Meat Boy. And just as painful to watch. They basically weren't playing the game.

Watched the stream of both this and Diablo 3. Expected Diablo 3 to look boring, and it did, but Rayman was a disappointment(except for Kung Foot). I'm probably still going to buy them, someone in the chat told me Diablo's combat got a lot better once you had more abilities and Rayman Legends looks fun except for Murphy in other videos. But this time it wasn't because of the quick looks.

Say what you will about Brad's lack of skill at games, Ryan's enthusiasm toward the story of Deadly Premonition is what, I think, makes the BR DP ER the superior of the two. Jeff and Vinny just make fun of the game for the vast majority of it, whereas Ryan got totally into it.

Those levels are the highlight for me. It's like HarmoKnight with licensed music.

Vinny and Jeff got way into it as well.

Having JUST re-watched the VJ DP ER, and re-watched the BR DP ER earlier this year (close to when Ryan passed away), I say that they did not get into it anywhere near as much as Ryan did. Brad, well, let's just say that getting into Deadly Premonition is easier if you aren't playing. Or if you're playing on Easy.

I think Brad walked without running more in the first three minutes of the quick look than I did 100%ing the entire game. ARGH.

I just cannot fathom getting angry at how other people play video games. On something that you are choosing to watch of your own free will.

I didn't think this was particularly egregious, but at a certain point you look bad at your job and send the wrong impression when you show you have trouble reading, running, and jumping in video games.

More disappointment than anger. I'm done with all the levels and working on getting gold on all the challenge stuff now, doing daily and weekly challenges and replaying music levels, and this video almost put me off wanting to play it. That's how poorly they managed to show it off. It deserved much better.

Everyone who ragequit watching this quicklook (which I can't really fathom) missed out on KUNG FOOT. Man, those 2 or 3 minutes are QL museum worthy.

I don't care how they play. I would've liked to see one of the musical stages though, the first time I played one of those it went from being a superior sequel to a great game, to being one of the best games I've played this year.

I love you guys but this video was infuriating. Not just the terrible playing, but also Jeff's general attitude towards the game, which seemed to be weirdly unenthusiastic right off the bat.

Holy shit, that comeback from Jeff was epic. Less than 1 second left lol, so good. Also, hahahahhaah, at the butt hurt armchair experts whining as usual because the game wasn't played perfectly according to them or because a guy didn't 100% love a game they love, god forbid. You clearly don't understand the purpose of Giantbomb at all.

This game should star The Iron Sheik. He real legend unlike no talent jabroni Rayman he go fuck himself while Iron Sheik puts him in the camel clutch.

Anybody know if the PC version lets you use the mouse for touch stuff?

Please stop letting Brad take the controls on these QLs. I like him in them, just not running the controller. Sorry bro, I love ya, you're just infuriating to watch play games.
