Quick Look: Red Faction: Guerrilla DLC

I have yet to play the actual game. Maybe this has something to do with all the annoying ads on IGN during the E3 live stream.

Did this DLC add achievements?

Sweet, weekend content.

I traded the actual game in, got a bit too repetitive for my liking.

I have just decided that I will never play Red Faction: Guerilla. I love quick looks way too much. Thanks Giant Bomb.

Isn't the whole point of a Quick Look to give us a quick look at the gameplay so we know whether or not we want to buy it? Doesn't spoiling the story in the Quick Look kind of negate the whole purpose of the feature?

This is a great game but I just wish that more of my friends play the online.

Well for one thing, DLC that is standalone, like it's duct taped to the side of the game...is dumb in my view, i wanna take those weapons and vehicles into the main game, and unless you can, i dont even want to touch this one, seems it's lacking a little anyway...especially for 800 points.

Haven't finished the game, but the story has been inconsequential anyway so...let's see if my guess is right.

btw the gutter is a weapon in the single player that you can steal from the marauders when they attack you

Lol, I love how you hear the car coming up behind Jeff, and then a giant RC car runs hims over

The part where Jeff tried to get in the vehicle and one he did an explosion turn it over, literally made me LOL.  :D

Is it worth me spoiling Red Faction in order to watch this video? Because I might pick this up along the line but I dunno if the storyline is really worth it.

For a 1st DLC, not bad. More please.

Ultor was in the first Red Faction, so technically yes, they are in the same universe now, but Red Faction started it off.

Unfortunately, the DLC is pretty sparse and thin, but fans of Red Faction will dig it. 
 
Also, had you doubled the length of this quick look, you could've shown the whole DLC pack.

Oh and just to point out for Vinny and Jeff and indeed anyone interested in this DLC...the salvage mechanic of the original campaign is completely removed for this DLC prequel campaign.There is no salvage to collect. Instead replaced with the weapon unlocks etc. being tied to the completion of the main missions and the marauder actions .

As for DLC, I'm all for the kind that lets you play other characters. It feels like a good use for it.

pc version isnt even out yet... hope the dlc comes to pc too

Eh. This game still looks boring to me.

Doesn't really spoil anything. Unless you didn't know it takes place of Mars.

This looks cool and I'll probably pick it up but why aren't they pushing the destruction even more? I mean, a 5 floor building is cool but how awesome would a 20 floor building be? I just want to see how far they can push their in house teck. Perhaps next DLC pack.
