No local co-op is a little disappointing but it still looks FANTASTIC!

I understand it's more difficult to develop for new consoles, but this looks like a unity game.

Console users shitting their pants over a resolution, and framerate that's been standard for years, and really 1080p is just middle of the road now. So, if you take that away, the gameplay is a simple arcade game. It looks fun to play but duders, this game isn't the thing to be excited over.

I'm not trying to bash, honestly. Maybe my standards are too high.

Those trophy unlocks look okay, but the Xbox One ones look way more satisfying.

Looks pretty fun. Definitely an incentive for me to get a PS4.

I think it's about time GB started thinking about updating/adjusting their player and/or capture setup. As I feel the compression even on the HD progressive video is already quite apparent for a game with all these particle effects. Never mind when it will be preferable to capture at 1080p

The PS4; the system I'll be getting once I have enough funds to do so. Can't wait for the launch stream broadcast which will happen all of over the internet this Friday. Of course I'll watch Giant Bomb's first if its a free broadcast, that is.

I don't need an Xbox One, not because I'm a PS4 fanboy, but because I'll have a gaming PC that will be able to run those exclusives once their ported to the PC.

Without knowing why, I also checked part way through to make sure I was in HD. The thing I fear is the cost involved in higher quality videos might out way the benefits. For the meantime anyway.

Thirded. I typically force myself to watch videos in their default window rather than fullscreen, just so I don't notice how bad they look.

I agree, but I have to wonder if they could reasonably pull it off because that eventual need for a higher quality jump will certainly cost them, having it for subscribers only would be fantastic. I just want to be able to see these kinds of games at a higher fidelity because the compression is ruining it for me now.

I guess it depends on whether you have a decent PC or not. Pretty much all I use is a macbook and then a windows laptop that I had to get for school and I don't want to upgrade or buy a new PC because that stuff already cost a lot of money. So I'm not used to that level of quality at all. I can recognize a PC is probably the best experience if you put the money and effort into it, But I'm not sure I could either afford it or be bothered to. It's much more likely I get a PS4 when the price drops and it has some decent games. I think it's totally fine that this doesn't impress you, but personally I finally feel some excitement for a new generation.

@daftasabat: Why are you so surprised that the launch titles for the new consoles aren't leaps and bounds beyond current-gen titles?

I really hope a lot of games don't go the tech demo route of just having as much stuff on screen as possible. I know I'm watching a compressed version of this but I found it really difficult to keep up with enemies and projectiles.
