The quality of this video is really low. They need to do what Vinny and Jeff were talking about on the Bombcast which is up the bitrate and resolution on these videos.

This looks interesting but at the same time something I'd play for 15 minutes then turn off.

I put countless hours into Stardust HD on the PS3 and Vita, can't wait to finally get a chance with this on Friday.

Their highest bitrate is 4000 kbit/s, that's more than most sites, really.

Ultrafist and Power Booty are my favorite Avengers.

Watch this video in Windows Media Player or something that isn't VLC for the full perfect godly frame-rate.

Anybody else getting a "Defender" vibe from this game? Certainly not a bad thing.

VLC does 60fps perfectly fine.

The devs have confirmed Resogun as being a solid 60fps at 1080p. Accept no imitations.

That looks great, and I've been a fan of Housemarque for decades, but man, I got a bit queasy watching the stream. Hopefully at full res and framerate it does that to me less? Not that queasiness is going to stop me from playing this, but still...

This looks pretty darn fantastic; it kinda makes the PS4 launch seem a little bit better, even if it's just a small title. While it may not look graphically demanding, I bet you couldn't pull off all those particle effects and environments and have it run at 60 FPS on a PS3.

This is the kind of game I'd love to see an expert speedrun of.

Damn, this looks amazing, and we're only viewing it with 720 p's on this video *gasp* This will be a nice change-of-pace game when I want to playing something besides Killzone or NBA 2K14.

Game looks like a lot of fun. Really digging the aesthetic too. Also, we catch a glimpse of the new Trophy notification, which I for one hadn't seen yet. Like the new look, especially the slide out animation.

I'm having a hard time being excited about this. Looks fun but I dunno how much I want to play these sort of arcade call-backs. I'm kind of shocked how super into it Brad and Jeff seemed to be, I mean, it's a well made arcade game but nothing that blew my mind.

@humanity: Jeff is a huge arcade fan, so a well made modern arcade-ish game will always hit home with him. Brad really loved Geometry Wars, and this is pretty similar.

But yeah, I agree, this doesn't do much for me personally. But still, good to see a PS4 QL.

The 60fps video looks SWEEET!!!

I'd just think they would be kind of over it by now. When I first played Geometry Wars on 360 it was like a "wow awesome" moment for me. At this point, a bullet hell game that rotates on an axis with bosses that display big flashing weak spots seems a bit tired. It sure looks nice but doesn't do anything for me either. Is it free? Like a launch pack in for PS4 owners?

This looks like a lot of fun! I doubt I'll be putting in the time needed to master every level, or anything crazy like that, but as a "free" game, it looks like a pretty rad one!

Wow are you serious, Brad? You only boost into thin air and never into enemies. What the fuck, man?

This doesn't look anywhere near as gripping as Geometry Wars was back when it was fresh. I think the problem is that I'm kind of over the whole 'this is a classic arcade esque, except really pretty' thing. Games actually have to do something really interesting if that's the motif they're going with, and this looks a lot like the hundred other Defender homages I've seen throughout the years.

Thanks for the QL, guys. I played the hell out of Defender at the arcades and on Atari 2600 back in the day. Resogun definitely looks to have the "spirit" of that classic. Looking forward to spending a lot of time with this one.

A game design from 1986 that wasn't possible of being made until it used the power of the ps4...

Definitely looks better than Kingdom Hearts 3, Metal Gear Solid V, and Final Fantasy 15. Those games are garbage compared to this awesome game!

This game looks so damn good. And the sound is so cool and the explosions look super satisfying
