I like how chunky and geometrical this game looks.

I was looking forward to this quick look, but didn't expect it to go up this early. Nice.

Loving the art style. Game looks neat.

Also, I'm assuming Patrick meant to say 'sen-say' and not 'sense-i'...

EDIT: Nope, he's now said it wrong twice. That's actually how he thinks it's pronounced. Considering how ingrained terms like 'karate' and 'sensei' are in popular US culture, that's kind of surprising.

Not digging the art style but its alright I guess.

Pat-Looks are back!

I got nothing against Patrick leading Quick Looks (hate his features and articles though. I fucking can't stand them), but he has been doing an awful lot of them as of late. Weird.

At any rate, whatever. Good to see more QL's about eShop titles like Mutant Mudds and now this! Although if anyone should be doing it, it should be the conductor for the Nintendownload X-Press (Jeff)! Choo-choo!

Also, I really wanna see a Quick Look for Konami's Neverdead. Just sayin'. Please get on that, Patrick.

The combat looks a bit like Assassin's Creed, in that there's only ever one guy attacking you, despite you being surrounded by a dozen or more enemies.

Man, I hope this "sensigh" stuff makes the next bombcast.  I can't decide whether it's worse than the echidna moment.

nice and informative QL. i've been waiting for something to help me justify a purchase. the art style looks neat, but i'm not sure about the gameplay. i don't think i'll check it out. it looks okay, but i think i'd rather check out Pushmo before this.

Well, this QL convinced me to purchase the game.

Related: why isn't there a Punch-Out game announced for 3DS? Seems like that's the one Nintendo property that's just begging to be on the system.

SUPER MIGHTY SENSIGH HWETFORCE

Okay, so the game hasn't been out for long, but:

1 - Don't Block...EVER!

2 - Whenever you nail a precision dodge, you can hit the enemy twice. (doesn't work on bosses)

3 - You special attack is an area of effect. Anyone inside the pink waves will take damage. It's best to use it early while the enemies are still somewhat grouped together.

4 - More enemy types and more complex patterns do show up. Archers will give you a major headache.

5 - I mean it, Don't Block!

6 - The main game is fairly short, only 3 areas, but then you unlock expert mode, which is where you really man up (or woman up) in order to survive.

@vinsanityv22: I'm sure Patrick appreciates your well thought out critique and will take it on board.

This game looks like it would work really well on a phone. All they'd have to do is take out the free running, which doesn't seem too important, at least not this early in the game.

I have a feeling Giantbomb is purposely having Patrick in a ton of quick looks just to spite the community that whines about it, which is fuckin hilarious.

Why does Patrick liken every game he plays to rhythm games.

Does he not understand that all videogames can be likened to them. You press the right buttons at the right time.

Poor Mighty Switch Force being called Super Mighty Force twice. Super Mighty Force is a good name for a game though.

The enemys kinda look like the guys from Outcast the PC game Dave and Vinny played a few weeks ago

Eh, not very interested in this game. Still glad to see original content hit the eShop though.

Patrick is awesome, this game looks...kind of good? Weird.

In honor of Patrick (because he is great, don't let anyone fool you), someone should add Super Mighty Force as an alias to the Mighty Switch Force page.

So I just beat the game in about... 5 and a half hours, give or take (I mucked around with the other features as well), I'll reiterate that dodging is better than blocking 100% of the time. I've tried expert mode, but haven't gotten that far yet.

So in expert mode, enemies deal twice as much damage, and all those nice cherry blossoms that keep expanding your health bar are gone. This could get brutal, but at least it gives the game a little more mileage.

Oh Patrick's in it? Then at least half the comments will be people bellyaching about him. Gosh dang it, people, he's not going anywhere. Calm the freak down.

I think he's alright. Just as long as there's a semblance of variety in Quick Look casts. I know some of the duders get randomly busy though and Patrick tends to be more available as the news guy.

ANYway, there's like four or five particularly great eShop games at this point. I hope it continues!
