Quick Look: Serious Sam: Double D

You know, I feel exactly the opposite way from how I felt towards Bloodrayne: Betrayal: I think the gameplay looks superb, but I can't stand that art style.

I really want gun stacking to become the new iron sights or gun reloading feature that every FPS has to have in order to be considered a modern game, even though the rest of this didn't seem all that appealing. I just want future generations to look at current modern combat FPSes and say "Hey, granddaddy, this game is shit, I can't stack the guns in this, and I even have to reload them? Hadn't the programmers learned how to make that obsolete?"

Jeff's got a problem with the health being more than 100%.

as a fan of serious sam watching this quick look makes me wanna go buy the HD remakes and this game and cant wait for the serious same 3. this game also seems to be made for the people at giant bomb because of the ridiculousness

Abuse was awesome! This feels kinda meh for me, though. I'm sure it's still a lot of fun, but it's really not my thing.

I can't remember seeing body-stacking like that since Nemesis the Warlock

This game is amazing. Stacking 6 guns on top of each other? Game of the year material right there, folks.

The health bars at the end are just awesome.

This game looks crazy messed up in the best way possible.  Stacking bodies AND stacking guns, SWEEET! 
 
they should've called it  "Serious Sam: Stacking!!!!", then there could've been a level where you shoot russian stacking dolls. =P

It seems as if this game was originally not a Serious Sam game, then somewhere during development that became an option and they just added the serious same guys in and changed the main character model etc. Cause this has almost nothing to do with SS. Gun-stacking though, that's original.

I feel like I'm missing a joke with the pancake/vuvuzela monsters. There has to be a reason, right?

Pancake monsters with vuvuzelas? My god...

This looks okay. I've played a couple of games that worked out in this kind of mouse-guided gameplay, and I enjoy it. I like the idea of stacking weapons for multiple damage and just plain stupid fun.

This looks really awful. Like, a kongregate flash game level of quality.
