@Afroman269: Dude, I'm wasting my time with you, really...

Have I asked them to show us each version of the game? No, I was just asking them to show us the BEST version of a game, whether it's 360, PS3, PC or even Wii.

Why would they do that? The Giantbomb audience isn't really PC-centric. There are other websites for that. They review the version of the game the majority of their audience will play.

So you're saying that their audience is 360-centric instead? That would be insulting if it was real.

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. These site has a control-centric audience, with 360 users making up the vast majority. I'm not sure what is "insulting" about that. It's just a fact. When they play multiplatform games it is almost invariably the 360 version. Still, you'll always here them say, "I haven't got a chance to touch the PC version yet, I'm sure it looks and preforms much better!" It's not like they ignore the superior version. They just cover the version that is more relevant to their audience and own gaming preferences.

How do you know that the vast majority of people here play on the 360? Have you made a poll or research on that? Do you realize that it sounds like saying everybody here drives a Toyota? That's ridiculous, simplistic and even insulting, reducing your audience to a bunch of sheep.

Come on, people come here from all over the world ( it's the internet! ) and play games on all the current consoles, old consoles, PC, handhelds, even old arcade cabinets. To say the vast majority of them have the same habits or tastes and play only on one and the same console it's too much.

If you run a serious, professional videogame website, you address all the gamers, not just a particular kind. And they proved that by discussing a variety of games on all the platforms on the Bombcast, not just the 360.

That's why I'm wondering why are they presenting multiplatform games only on the 360, since they don't have any restrictions approaching every console and games in their discussions.

I just hope it's not another "buy American" crappy nationalist attitude behind it, 'cause that will be ridiculous in this day and age.

I haven't done any research or polling. It's just something I've personally noticed. You know; from posting on the forums, reading the comment sections, and looking at the colors that correspond with people's names. I'm more than aware that a lot of people play on PC, Wii, PS3, and many other platforms. I'm not saying they aren't important. I just feel like you're misunderstanding something about this website. Giantbomb is not a large site like Gamespot or IGN. They've been pretty open about their goal being to play the games they want to play and cover the games that they are personally interested in. That's why coverage of certain genres, like JRPGs and sports titles are so lackluster. They don't have the manpower to cover everything, and so they focus their attention on the things they can. It's been like that from the beginning.

They present multiplatform games on the 360 because, like I said, that's what the majority of their audience games on. Brad and Jeff have also stated on separate occasions that publishers will often only send the 360 version of a game. Nevermind the fact that it's no secret that the 360 is the preferred console of the Giantbomb crew. Whenever there is a significant difference between the PS3 and 360 versions of a game, they will make it known (and sometimes even write two reviews). As for always covering the "best" version of the games, i.e. the PC version - well, that simply wouldn't work. When you compare the combined number of console players on the PS3 and 360 to PC players, it's just not a feasible suggestion. There are other sites which tailor to PC gaming. If you think it's unprofessional for them to not go out of their way to cover every version of every game, then maybe this isn't the site for you?

The guys aren't biased. They just are low in number, and let's be honest, the site is great because there's only a handful of recognizable faces reviewing everything. I rarely find that they actively ignore other versions of multiplatform games. For example, look at the Rage quick look. We have Brad/Jeff playing on 360, Patrick playing on PS3, and Brad promising to check out PC version. That's pretty all-inclusive I'll say.

Fair enough, I agree. It's just that I don't see why it's so difficult presenting a multiplatform game in it's best version (again, not each and every version, but the BEST version on the market).

If the best version is on the 360, present it on the 360, but if it's on the PS3, present on the PS3 then! You have the tools and the equipment, therefore where's the problem?

Again, if MK had more content for the PS3, therefore being the superior version, then why they presented it on the 360?

Also, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit: why haven't they shown the crappy Wii version, since Wii is more popular than every other console and everybody has one? No, they showed it on -what a surprise- the 360! Why?

Also, since you claim that Brad and Jeff play it on 360, Patrick on PS3 and Brad also promising to check out the PC version, then why they choose to present the 360 version? Is the 360 the lowest common denominator in videogame journalism today? Because I always thought the PC gaming was, since it covered almost every game on the market...

I don't know about you, but when I mention "professionalism" regarding videogame journalism, I don't necessarily expect huge articles covering in detail every J-RPG game or Angry Birds clone on the market. No, I expect just the basic common sense and courtesy to acknowledge, respect and adjust to the simple fact that not all of us here have the same gaming habits, play games just on one console, and that the 360 is not the default console of choice for all of us, not even for the "vast majority".

Need I tell you , since you pride yourself on checking avatars and all the discussions and opinions on this website, that many people here, like myself, are from Europe, where the 360 barely has a market?

Sorry, but your shit is on the internet, guys, therefore, like it or not, it's global, worldwide, visible and available for everyone and anyone, even for people in Somalia, for fuck sake. The internet, no matter how hard you try, because of its global nature, it doesn't provide niches. Even if you try something like talking on the podcast about the latest pick-up line in Kansas or about eating some greasy cheeseburger in Missouri, expect some guy from Japan, Poland or Argentina to to know or remember that meaningless shit, because it was public, available worldwide.

And if "unprofessional" sounds too heavy, how about "lazy" then? Don't get me wrong, if I had something deep against these guys and this website, I would have been gone long by now and wouldn't waste my time with this issue here and replying to you. But, since I care about their opinions and this website, I think I'm entitled to make some constructive criticism, just like everybody else, don't you think so? I mean that they wouldn't allow comment boards and forum discussions if they didn't care about opinions, right? Sure, some other websites allow only praises, "politically correct" and positive, cheerful messages, but I always thought GB is above that and certainly above IGN or the current Gamespot.

Those are my 2 cents...

Actual answer: It's because they get 360 versions from publishers since it's the most wide-reaching system. Now shut the fuck up.
