Quick Look: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D

This was REALLY funny but I find it hilarious that they started this on literally the WORST part of this game, that dungeon sucked ass.

Why do I always find myself screaming at my monitor whenever Brad is playing?

Brings back so many great memories. Think I'll grab it and play it again.

I hate being that guy, but I was definitely yelling at my laptop trying to tell Brad what to do.

I just have no interest in playing this on such a small screen.  Especially a $250 small screen, and paying $40 for a game I have multiple copies of already.

Before this video I never realized I would actually yell at my monitor in frustration while watching another person playing a video game. Goddamnit Brad.

I remember my parents getting this for me for me in 1999 for my birthday, and I was so captivated by throwing rocks and cutting grass in my starting village that I didn't want to go to school, though I still did. I was also terrified of the Skulltullas in the Deku Tree and refused to progress onward without my mother to provide emotional support. 
 
I went on to play through that game at least 10 times in the coming years, and I'd still play it again if I had a way to. This Quick Look legitimately made me happy, even if I did spend most of the time responding aloud to Brad and Vinny about what they needed to do. I just might have to get a 3DS sometime and pick this up, seeing as I don't have a handheld anyway. 

From all the love people give this game, I almost feel like I have a duty to play it.

Still haven't played this.  I beat Metal Gear Solid in '98 and refused to play this for a while (MGS was my GOTY, dammit).  When I buy a 3DS I'm sure I'll pick this up, however.
 
But is this game actually better than Twilight Princess?  Or just more influential?

This was probably the first time I ever yelled at the screen over someone else playing a game

People like Zelda games too much, IMO

I should clarify - the nostalgia factor is what seems to carry this series, and I think that's pretty unfair considering how poorly other games seem to do in the market that are markedly much deeper experiences.

Sure lets just forget that they redid basically every bit of the graphics in the game or the added mode that's pretty much an entire full games worth of content so its like getting 2 games for 1. people like you don't know true value when you see it, on a side note other than the whole box debacle i'm probably just as bad at this game as Brad is.

I have never yelled more at any screen.

The unintentional humor in that comment was PRICELESS. (Also INFURIATING!!!)

Was there a single person that made it through this QL without yelling at the screen? I HIGHLY doubt it.

I'm 18 and i've never played this game. I could have, but I didn't have the console.

I was yelling at the screen...in my head...in silence...so not really yelling...just quietly, mentally grimacing in an incredibly awkward and excruciating way.

I love how Brad kept whining about not finding any hearts right after ignoring a fairy that he could have captured with his empty bottle.

I expect this from Brad but Vinny should have known a little better.

Looks great but just can't play this for the 3rd time.

Too bad 3Ds looks terrible like every other DS.

Its brad. Its what he does.

Also why the fuck can not a single member of the giantbomb team know how to use a map? Ryan struggles so much with a basic sense of direction just like Brad. C'mon you're game journalists, game basics shouldn't be difficult for you.

More influential than Twilight Princess and better than MGS was.

Didn't have a 64 so never got to have any of those moments. Wind Waker is my Zelda game.

This quick look convinced me to go out at buy my first Nintendo console ever. We had an Nintendo 64 when I was younger and I played Ocarina of Time all the time on it. One of my favorite games ever.

Oh the humanity! This looks fantastic. It looks like how I remembered it, with rose-tinted glasses.

I hated that flesh dungeon back when I played through the game twice. This video is doing nothing to help that sentiment.

... This is painful. I mean, the game looks amazing. I'm looking forward to getting a 3DS now, but... This quick look is painful!

The graphical overhaul is really nice but I have played enough Ocarina of Time.

I totally forgot the part with the Master Sword. Pretty cool!
