I loved, LOVED the THPS game, and from everything I have seen from this game it just seems like it was made by people who don't understand what made the original games so great. And this coming from Robomodo I think that is the case. This just feels very half assed and made by people in a boardroom highfiving at decisions they think are "cool". Personally I really dont like Robomodo so I really do not want to support them by giving them my money.

Gotta say I'm disappointed by the lack of classic characters and levels. It does make me want to track down a copy of Tony Hawk 1 and 2 for the PS1 again. Great quick look all the same.

The Bloodynose deck needs to be in this game.

The selection of levels and skaters is really disappointing. I'm sure the plan is to pad that out with paid DLC in the future.

Hmm. I played so much Tony Hawk during my childhood, which continued onto until... I think Underground, then I sorta lost interest. I'm surprised at how much I've forgotten as well! Though I guess I was too young to be able to properly understand, or at least put in to words, a lot of the mechanics. Anywhoo the limited level selection, songs and skaters is pretty disappointing. Plus it sucks that there's no create-a-skater nor even create-a-level. I loved creating my own shitty levels filled with ramps everywhere.

God, I really hope they have that Downhill street level from THPS3 (or was it THPS2) upcoming in the DLC. The one where's it's night time and you're at the very top of a ridiculously steep downhill slope - bloody exhilarating! And there was all the railings on the side and you could potentially wall ride the entire thing. I really hope that'll eventually make its way in there, if it isn't in already as an unlockable.

Looks like they went too far back, imo. Jeff and Ryan are right - they should've "turned on" the revert, and complete the combo system.They also should've ditched the stupid 2 minute timer. The character art looks horrid too - why is everyone so gaunt? Where's the energy? The SSX reboot has style and energy to spare - THAT's what they should've done to Tony Hawk. Even Shaun White skateboarding, and Skate - I'd rather buy those than get this. They're probably cheaper nowadays too.

But man, hearing this music, and seeing these stages...nothing makes you feel older huh? I mean, I played this stuff on the PSX, N64, Dreamcast and Game Boy Advance! That sucks :(

I am twelve and what is this? No, really, watching this makes me feel like I'm twelve again...

I don't remember if it was in 1 or 2, but I'm kinda bummed that there's no Foundry.

There was nothing wrong with the classic Tony Hawk formula, the games were just too frequent. If they go on to do a "new" Tony Hawk that's just this with new levels designed for today (not open world), I would be totally okay with that.

Ha, it was THPS2 that got me hooked on this style of punkrock. I still listen to it regularly. Millencolin has just gotten better since, you should give the later albums a go!

I can't play this without an N64 controller, though.

I would honestly prefer playing the original PS1 games. This unreal engine mess of a remake is just disappointing looking.

Foundry was 3, actually. It might make it in the DLC though.

Really like the whole look of this. They went the THPS 2 route with the systems such as the career and the Sloppy-Perfect system. Not a fan of the BIG DROP system though.

Just yesterday I installed THPS2 on my PC. Works surprisingly well considering how old it is.

they didnt need the warehouse and hangar, they serve the same purpose for me but overall looks like a fun purchase

I think this is too far back for me. I had played a reasonable amount of 1 & 2, but I didn't really get into Tony Hawk until Pro Skater 4. Spine transfers and reverts are kind of a big part of Tony Hawk for me, so it would be weird going all the way back. It still looks fun, I might try this at some point, but I'll be more excited if they do a re-envisioning of 3 & 4.

Goldfinger's "Superman" as the menu music and I'm sold. That song defined the original Tony Hawk experience for me.

I have a lot of memories of playing the first two games with friends.. but without splitscreen or horse mode, I won't be buying.

Maybe when it's really cheap on Steam.

I played a bunch of THPS2 on Dreamcast, but the price tag on this + the terrible UI design kind of makes me not want to buy. I mean really, that ui and menus look like placeholders.

This was kind of underwhelming, won't get it.

Man, I was ready to go and get this but that level selection isn't great. Not that many levels either.
