So glad to see this is getting a Quick Look. Wadjet Eye has been killing it with their point & click games lately and they deserve a lot more attention. Technobabylon is still my favorite though.

That director looks a helluva lot like BJ Novak from The Office.

Should have named them Buttz, but maybe that'd be gimmick infringement.

This quick look convinced me to buy a copy.

Im going to have to name my character Butt Buttson, damn you Dan!

Yayyyyyyyy was hoping Vinny would get into this. About halfway through the game and it seems excellent!

@pie: Finished it yesterday and it absolutely is. Just a wonderful game and I wish more people would play it.

I'm genuinely impressed by the way you can interact with items while other characters keep talking (see 21:10). It's been a while since I last played a point-and-click adventure game, so maybe that's not a SUPER new thing, but that is HUGE!

Very good game. I wholeheartedly recommend.

Wadjet Eye games is really becoming the premiere developer for point-and-click adventure games in the vein of Sierra Online back in the late 90s.

Gemini Rue quick look convinced me to buy it years back. Definitely gonna get this one too. Love the art, writing and atmosphere. Wadjet Eye makes some quality point and clicks.

I wish they would keep going. Calling the protagonist Butt Buttson... Having just finished the game....... It's a good choice.

Why do they keep trying to convert Dan to these games? As Abby says in the QL, he immediately goes for the "stop playing this game" options.

Much like modern day Writers/Movie Directors Shakespeare was wealthy but not rich enough to qualify as Upper Class or Nobility of the type which would commission plays.

To put it another way, he was rich enough to buy the house which was built for a former Major of London. But it was still made of wood and thatch.

@bathala: Here is some interesting, unverified trivia (Source reddit). Apparently, the creator approached the Dresden Files to make them an adventure game, got denied, and that is how we got the game!

Edit: Interested in how Vinny takes the second half of the game. I found it neat, didn't see it coming.

Like, every single choice he chose progressively became less "This is the funny one" and became more "Lets do the evil thing".

I absolutely detest point and click adventures, always have. I will play this.

Yeah between this and him obviously not being into this kind of game I was honestly really put off. Really wish Dan would expand his understanding of the world a bit and stop categorizing people as "good guys" or "bad guys'. Him immediately saying to kill that sinew-y creature even as the game set him up as an fairly innocent bystander is kind of gross. Some people would def say I'm taking this too seriously but Dan has said this kind of stuff (in what seems like a serious manner) in so much video and podcast content that it's getting frustrating.

Game seems really cool though, I should get back into my Gemini Rue playthrough.

I'm really glad they pointed out the ambient rain in that one scene; I always love me some ambient rain, it's really relaxing to me...even in the instance of that particular scene.

Can we get a full playthrough of this? It was honestly really entertaining to see the whole crew go through this section of the game together.

The art style, that jazzy music. It's like somebody stole some of my Hellblazer comics out of my closet and made a killer game out of it.

And Eli and Logan are shoo-ins for best new characters of 2018.

I really enjoyed this game.

It really is, and still fun to play through (cough). Also interesting to see the progression in adventure design chops from Wadjet Eye from start to finish, with Unavowed being another significant step forward.

This seems more like a Night Watch game. So I'm down.

This game seems kinda great(?)

I know what you mean. I really, really hate to be that guy, but I'm finding Dan's schtick to be wearing a bit thin, and I'm not watching much that he's involved in. I think I bailed on this video when he said "is this noir?" because it just isn't funny anymore.

To be clear, I don't mind Dan and enjoy him in most stuff, but this seemed kind of weirdly vindictive/old Dan style.

What do you mean by gross?
