Great video! Game looks neat, pit I dont have a ps4 D: I watched Mary Kish's stream of this instead tho, and it was awesome.

I just finished this. Fucking fantastic. Playing through again one more time today before I return it to the Redbox. I want to save everyone this time (2 survived my first run). Nobody has to die. Not a spoiler or anything, but fuck Emily.

Really wasn't sure what this game was and forgot about it since first announcement, but it seems like it came together really well.

Whoa... this quick look actually made me do a complete 180 on my thoughts of this game. Can't wait to play this around Halloween now!

This game is the Maniac Mansion of 2015.

I really love that this generation is shaping up to be full of games doing the David Cage game better than David Cage. Heartwarming.

I want to see Brad do a full run of this just to see how badly he screws it up.

Really is quite the surprise. I'm glad devs aren't shying away from it. Hopefully we keep seeing even more that do it even better.

Wow, I managed to do a full playthrough in two nights AND apparently I was pretty damn close to nailing the Everybody Survives path. My only screwups were making one horrible lapse in judgment (if you find yourself being reminded of a specific moment in the original The Evil Dead...panic), and one tough Be Still controller prompt.

So to summarize: a fun rental for a horror fan that I'll totally buy when it eventually gets cheap. I'd love to give it another runthrough with my horror-inclined friends shouting directions. Thanks to Brad and Jason for showing enough of the game to get interested in it!

Would absolutely love to see a play through of this on the site. In the style of the Contradiction play through. Appease me!

When brad drives a quicklook, you have enough time to read the first page of comments while they look at the main menu.

This actually looks kind of amazing - I'm really going to need to play this, wonder if I'll have to wait for a price drop though.

I don't think it'll work out for us gamers if we don't change our attitude about this. Look what happened to the Japanese market, it collapsed into mobile games because mobile games are more profitable and their customers are less entitled. It's more profitable for much less effort.

The market will go with what profits and right now iOS market is leaning towards cheaply made skinner boxes, while current trends on Steam are showing that it wasn't sustainable like the big publishers stated. Indies studios are having much lower sales and having troubles keeping afloat. Bigger publishers are finding the PC market a decent secondary sales channel but the customers are very demanding on feature and price which may cool the number of ports.

We'll see where it all goes but the games industry does have issues. It only survives because most of the creators are working a lot harder for a lot less than equivalent non game jobs. The margins are narrow and many of the A/AA/AAA studios and publishers can't survive without full priced releases; and indies are struggling now to survive Steam style pricing. So I don't think the future is to pander to the value oriented but instead to keep on with the traditional models.

Looks really pretty; as Brad says, a Horror Heavy Rain.

I'm surprised Brad was so dismissive of the totem system, because that's the thing that really separates this game for me. It was cool to see into different timelines and they're not really spoilers because they probably won't happen.

Finished my 2nd run through the game last night, and I'm already planning a 3rd one. I think this game is rad, and totally worth the $60 price tag.

As for the Emily hate I'm seeing in the comments, screw all you haters. She's the best character in the game! Completely hilarious! Keep her alive to get some great dialogue from her during the end credits.

I wish there was a way to turn off the jump scares. I'm totally okay with spooky creepy, but I can't stand the jump scares... I really want to check this out though, so maybe I'll try and suffer through them.

I am on my third run and still seeing new amazing stuff. I can see brushing this off every Halloween for another run through. $60 seems a little steep for it as a value proposition. At $40 it would be a really fair value for the amount of game there. But I am happy to pay full price to encourage them to make more games like this.

I really liked this game and am looking forward to the GBE playdate :D
