Quick Look: Until Dawn

I saw a few chapters played last night - this game looks badass.

Damn, was hoping this would be a GBEast QL.

Looking forward to checking this game out though!

Oh man, that main menu. Games need more controllable faces in main menus.

Also, is Mike the character Ward from Agents of SHIELD? Looks very similar.

I really want to play this game. Looks like it could be Quantic's best, and I loved Heavy Rain.

This makes me want a game based on Cabin in the Woods.

Best character face control in a menu since Don Bradman's Cricket.

Happy that this game seems to have come out ok. Sad that Sony sent this game out to die.

I'd buy it for £10 on Steam as a quick throw away quick time event type game, but £42 at Retail and knowing the digital stores it's probably even more there........... not worth it.

If they had made it, perhaps.

@pogman: I mean value is obviously subjective but the game is between 8-12 hours long and requires multiple playthroughs if you want to save everyone (unless you're extremely lucky). 10 pounds for a game with these production values just seems really really low at launch.

This looks surprisingly OK for creeping up on us all like that with little fanfare...

Emily's deliverance sounds super odd, it sounds like her voice is obstructed by something or like she's talking while having a lollypop in her mouth.

Edit: Looks like other characters sound canny too, not sure if that's a recorded issue or the voice recording being weird.

Mike looks a bit like a hybrid of Nathan Drake and Alan Wake.

Movable head menu! Doesn't seem as flexible as Donny B though.

Wait, is it confirmed you can save everyone? I'm sure as hell falling short of that goal if so.

I don't normally like horror games but I think I might pick this up. Good look.

brad has pretty amazing vocal range

It's pretty evident that development was a bit delayed, considering that they have a ouija board, but missed the release window for the game during "The Year of Ouija".

Great graphics though. Nichole Bloom is really nailing that slack-jawed-and-vacant-stare-of-apathy teenager look.

According to the Gamespot review, it should be possible. Your choices and options expand based on the clues you find.

What would be the fun of asking that question before you've beaten the game yourself? :P

Never really thought about how Peter Stormare sounds in english, it's so wierd.

I want to buy this game just so I can kill every one of the stupid characters these protagonists are! Seriously, just fail all the QTEs. Will do that once it's cheaper.

Rami Malek's character dying in the first minutes of the video? I'm already sold! Can't stand that guy.

Anyway, this feels like a type of game that would be sold really cheap on Steam if it had worse graphics and no famous actors. I mean, it's an ok game I guess, but there's really nothing new or different on it.

Oh, and they could have used a better UI designer, those button prompts look like placeholders.

Just beat this game last night. (We have a local store that breaks street date) It was pretty fantastic. The characters start obnoxious but most of them grew on me by the end. Unfortunately my wife and I managed to get the ones we liked most killed and the one we still hated survived. Looking forward to trying again to rectify that.
