Quick Look: WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2011

So true. The first 10 minutes were spent watching two AI characters battling each other. Why? Plus, neither Alex nor Ryan appear to be aware of what's going on in WWE these days. If Jeff were in this quick look, he definitely would have  mentioned current Nexus white slavery storyline and given his thoughts on these recent developments. "

The game looks terrible.

It's been a long road!... to Wrestle-mania.

I still love Wrestling... I mean it's a little more ironic nowadays since I find the juvenile storylines hilarious.

As someone who hasn't picked up a wrestling game since SvR2006 I'm certain I'm going to enjoy this a lot.
 
Hell, it might be more fun creating stuff than playing the game... But it doesn't change the fact that I'll be wasting countess hours of my time creating characters and storylines. And having an absolute blast.
 
I enjoyed that bit the most in SvR2006 and the new additions since then is totally awesome.

The comments on this quicklook make me /facepalm. I'll say again, this QL is NOT a fair representation of the game. This is easily one of the best Smackdown games since HCTP.

i haven't watched wrestling in years and Randy Orton's tattoos look insane.

Navarro v. Ladder: match of the year.

Looks like the same old Smackdown, I think the last one I played was 06 to check out the GM mode. Smackdown has all the bells and whistles but from a pure gameplay standpoint Fire Pro Wrestling Returns is still my favorite wrestling game.

There used to be a time when wrestling games were amazingly fun, but now all they care about in their CAW system and canned animations and are clunky as all hell.

That looked terrible from a gameplay perspective. Here's an idea, get as many of the people responsible for making the Blitz: The League games and task them with creating a subversive, "nod and a wink" wrestling game that gets into the real heart of things, that is to say, acknowledge it's fake and make it more about pumping up the crowd and managing an entertainment empire. I would buy that game.
