I'm actually really looking forward to this QL. The one they did for the previous game looked pretty cool.

The mapping of your character was there in the first Fitness Evolved as well, and it looked exactly like it does in your QL opening(orange dude was standard, but you could change it so it read from the camera in the options. It actually looked better then - not as shiny). So not so much happened in a year after all :C

Hey GB crew, since you guys seem to have issues with the green screen(especially as of late). Why not roll it up towards the back of the room, since you guys aren't really capturing below the knees. Just roll it up to the point where its still in the capture.

It's very weird when the most surprising launch kinect game that was good was Your Shape, and this year its Your Shape again that's surprisingly good and the best of this set so far.

What I need is a kinect get in shape game where it simulates you running away from zombies while dodging obstacles and whatnot. Zombies make everything better. Everything.

I wish more Kinect games could be this accurate. The shit in this game looks fantastic and it seems to be very responsive. Even though I already go to the gym, I have an urge to get a Kinect again for this.

Attractive visual presentation, good implementation of the Kinect, smart feedback on what you're doing right or wrong during routines - Your Shape is just a well made product. Which is odd, when so much of Ubisoft's Kinect lineup is just shovelware.

Anyway, Jeff's excitement at seeing a polygonal version of himself was pretty hilarious, and it was pretty cool looking.

Actually the original Your Shape Fitness Evolved also had the realistic scan of yourself in the game, you just had to go select it in the options.

Yeah, the impressive thing here is that the novelty video capture of the player is filling in the dead time between the kinect waggle checks. Neither of those things is fun by itself. If you look at just about every other of this series of quick looks, they are using the same two tools, but failing to blend the two and failing to mask the kinect's inaccuracy.

Even the buttons on the menu are a better system than usual. It's not rocket science... you just have to do big horizontal buttons for motion control rather than thin stacked vertical ones. But it seems like so many Kinect devs just didn't learn that lesson from the Wii.

Really, it comes down to the fact that only one game in twenty for this control scheme is going to do well enough to fool the player into being impressed. If every game could handle it this well without focusing all of their dev time on controls, the Kinect could have some real games. These are 1st generation problems. It's like NES sidescrollers before everyone decided to use Mario jumping physics.

This looks like one of the better fitness games out there, looks really nice and looks like you get a workout.

In the first one, you could see yourself as well. You pressd the button, and you can change colour, from orange, to water, to yourself.

So this is not new.

The selling point on the back of the box for this game should be that you get to see what you look like completely covered in plastic wrap.

I have the first and plan on getting this one too.
