Coming in after Ryan was never going to “Get Dan over” with a large portion of the fans but he did a hell of a jorb despite that. He’ll always be “Dan from Replay” in my head but somehow he was even better @ Giantbomb

genuinely surprised GB managed to hold onto Dan for as long as it did, it always seemed it was just a matter of time before Dan moved up.

This finale feels like Dan farting in the room and running out. Fitting, in a way.

Boy, this just makes me want to rewatch the live Mario Party Party with the cheering crowd.

Gonna miss you Dan

This was a fantastically fitting way for Dan to close out his time with GB. It's been a true pleasure, and I wish him all the best in the future.

Watching both Dan and Drew on Metal Gear Scanlon brought me to this site. Sad to see him leave but happy he is pursuing his dream. Good luck Dan!

I'm still not over Jeff Green leaving games journalism.

I sent over a mailbag package to Giant Bomb West, in hopes it would arrive in time for GotY. It likely arrived in time, but that week was crazy. Dan's present inside was made special for him. I do hope he gets it at some point.

Man, really? I hadn't listened to the podcast in full yet, so maybe it is in there, but this is a major surprise and a major bummer. Dan, you've been a fantastic part of Giant Bomb all these years, and I wish you the very best of luck and enjoyment in your new job.

I am sure GB will find someone new that is also great, like they have always done in the past, but I will miss your endless enthusiasm. Some of the best ideas for video series (like Metal Gear Scanlon) seem to have come through your desire to just go all-out in everything you do while you have a lot of fun doing it, and I have been very grateful for your influence within the team. All the best!

Best of Luck Dan, FYI Connecticut is a nightmare hellscape that I spent the first 30 years of my life in. So enjoy!

A sad farewell for the site. Hopefully Dan gets in front of a camera again soon enough. Knowing his luck and the shenanigans he pulls off, it'll happen eventually.

This is gonna be the hardest replacement they will have to do since Ryan, GB will always be a pillar of games entertainment for me regardless but man, Dan was such a vital part for me and I’m sure for many others.
