I don't have an Apple Watch but Lifeline can use the watch and it's pretty great. It's mostly a choose your own adventure that sends you fake texts to your watch.

OMG the talk about the AC temp drove me insane. I'd be MELTING if I kept it at 78 like Vinny does. I like it like 70 at the HIGHEST, usually 65-68.

Man, I must be the only person with an irrational hatred of Ira Glass. He just got such a dorky, holier than thou voice. I understand how high-school bullies must have felt.

At some Street Fighter tournaments, like Red Bull Kumite, they do set up two screens for the players so they get they're own screen.

I'm not sure why they didn't do a setup like this at this EVO, which seemed to have a bigger production value than past tournaments.

I prefer to keep the AC high and have a fan or two around. I've never sat and done a side by side breakdown or looked it up but to me there's no way the electricity cost of a fan is anything close to cooling an entire house.

I'm glad you mentioned DARE. I'm not a drug user, but DARE literally introduced me to drug names that I never even imagined. I thought cigarettes were the only drugs that existed lol

I've never found the cost of cooling an entire house to be that dramatic either way, it's when you have to HEAT a house that you'll run the risk of losing it entirely.

So I run my damn AC basically forever.

That Ira Glass bit was fantastic.

So, the noise you guys played made my ears pop. Also felt pretty strange while it was going on.

Some advice for the Japan bound tourist:

• A giant number of the subway help desk attendants speak English. They're use to dealing with tourists and have handy maps to give you that can point out, not only crazy cool things to do, but can answer questions you have. To a lesser degree this can apply to the policemen too that are usually inside boxes in the subway system should you get lost.
• Like they mentioned on the podcast, don't be afraid to try something! I went to plenty of places that didn't speak English, but I just pointed at things until both of us nodded our heads. It was never a huge deal.
• When you get off the plane, there should be a vending machine of SIM cards. I didn't take advantage of this, but if you can swap out SIM cards for your phone, try this out by renting the SIM card and using the navigation apps to get around. This could also help reduce any headaches when trying to decipher the subway system as it should suggest which trains to go on.
• Take a hot minute to stare at the train system. Be mindful of which line/color you need and make sure to not accidentally step onto any express versions that may skip a bunch of your stops!

Seriously get those tourist maps! Those lead me to a robot cafe that was mind boggling cool and a french toast cafe that made french toast so fluffy I thought it was magic. Have fun!

Gary Buseys dialogue in the Hitman game is crazy fun. Hope you guys get to see all of it.

Oh my god the Ira Glass! I've been listening to This American Life every week (typically right after this cast) for a long time that was amazing I thought I accidentally hit play on This American Life when Jeff did his XD

Two for two on discussing pulsing eyeballs on the podcasts this week.

Vinny is a 60 year old man trapped in a 30-something body. Having AC at 78 seems no different from just opening every window you have.

Speaking to Owner Mode in sports games, my friends and I LOVE Owner Mode!! We used to pick team in different divisions and only play each other if we met in the playoffs. Otherwise we wanted to make our teams the most lucrative. It made me very excited to hear that NHL 17 has it!

Now that create-a-stadium is back I hope other sports games look at it and bring it back, I'm looking at you MLB The Show!

And to add a weird bathroom story: in middle school we had a bathroom with one urinal and one stall. That stall had two toilets in it right next to each other. No divider. That made for some weird moments, especially being 13/14 years old.

@alex FYI, none of your unlocks in Overwatch transfer over between systems. I played a ton on Xbox and just got the pc version last week and had to start back at level 1. I think that linking your battle.net account is only good for getting the dumb unlocks in Blizzard's other games, like Mercy's wings in Diablo 3.

Wait, what's all this about knocking cubicle doors? Do toilet cubicles in the US not have the little engaged/vacant marker on the lock?

It always makes me a little sad when Vinny sabotages a very interesting topic with his silly antics, like the one in the email about infrasound. A very interesting email about stuff I didn't know deserves a little more respect than that.

I haven't gotten to that part yet, I thought you were referring to Vinny's redirecting the hockey conversation.

Pretty much all of the dialogue in the new Hitman game is crazy fun. Aside from the weird episodic format (which at the least is good at keeping me interested!), the game is very fun all around.

Jeez, 70? I keep my AC around 24. You guys must be literally cooking wherever you are.

AC is not a thing where I live, but the battles over AC temperatures in hostels while traveling is always "fun". Generally I try to stay in places without AC if it's under 40 celsius (104 fahrenheit) outside. I hate it when you get used to the cool temperatures inside and then feel like you evaporate into a pink mist once you open the door.

All that being said, I am a fan of fans.
