Ahh man the question around the 55 minute mark was a real downer. Jeff has looked exhausted in lots of vids of late. Maybe he should take a break!

It's pretty great hearing Jeff speaking so proudly about the site's popularity.

You're doing a bang-up job, Jeff.

This might be a little silly to say, but I like hearing that Giantbomb is still going strong. People on the forums would always get so negative about how the site is doomed because of the merger or the subscriptions or WHATEVER that it bums me out sometimes.

Excellent stuff. On the topic of plain good old walking: A nice hour, hour and a half stroll a few times per week, especially at night, is actually pretty excellent even regardless of nice health benefits. Just for clearing your head, think some shit through and the like - provided you've got some reasonable options to evade people and noise and all of that. As pathetically nerdy as that probably is, I find that I actually get a nice natural high out of it, most likely becuase I'm such a slob otherwise.

The final third or fourth of this episode was, yet again, intensely satisfying. Really insightful and highly interesting topics. My favorite part of the amateur, hobbyist crowd in gaming coverage is that they provide a steady influx of wild, unpolished commentators that mostly just recoup their investment on recording equipment and time spent by being a yoputube partner or something like that. It's true that it can be very hard to find the best, mostly independant ones but when you do it's a fantastic balance for sources closer to the gaming industry.

Any chance of getting these in audio form so I can listen to it as a podcast? Also, for me, live shows are not worth anything more than the non-live content you guys put together. To me, it's not worth any extra effort it takes to stream it live.

Good stuff. Jar-time is definitely my favorite subscriber content, since I hate scary games and Random PC Game doesn't always have games that interest me.

And you have to love the glee in 's face when he talks about ruining lives and destroying beliefs with his statistics.

I am baffled by the 3/4 beard. Once I noticed it, I don't know I can't stop staring at it. Please keep it this way. It's amazing. It is pure beauty.

That static, flat look of Jeff's bedroom makes it look like he's recording in front of a green screen. Probably a result of camera compression, but let me believe it's true. Watching with that in mind makes it look like he's gone to crazy lengths by going to a different room to extend the illusion.

Right? I actually think that's a great way to judge someone's relative age/business experience by how they react to something like a subscription service/merger. Like anyone who thought they were going to have to start censoring the podcast or locking up Quick Looks behind a paywall or, my personal favorite, that GB was bought because of how BADLY it was doing (cause that's what multinational corporations do to make money!) were OUT OF THEIR MIIIIIINDS.

Not so much these days, but it was just as absurd back then. And they'll be back to grouse/doomsay whenever the next change comes.
