I fucking kept telling people that things can go faster than light! Why doesn't anyone listen to me? I'm sick of Einstein!

Anyway, the conversation was really awesome, especially the talk about the game industry. Ryan did a superb job hosting this episode. Well done gentlemen, GB-4-life (as it were).

This was way better as a podcast than a video.

I'd love to see Brad Muir become Giant Bomb's Gary Whitta - dropping in for QLs more frequently, and maybe even the odd bombcast.

Interesting thing that seems to have gone overlooked, was when Brad mentioned (maybe jokingly?) that he and the rest of Double Fine "broke up" with Giant Bomb for a while after their Brutal Legend review. Brad clearly (and rightly) cops to the fact that it was because he was so close to the project, which is understandable, but I don't remember the GB guys ever mentioning this before.

You know what pisses me off about hearing brad talk about industry meetings? We already know this kind of stuff so it's not a surprise, but it's how fake it all is. Not dissing him, he wouldn't do it if you didn't have to, but it's like resume's and how you dummy them up with bullshit and everyone looking at resumes knows you're on the verge of making stuff up to put on them but still expects it anyway.

Fuck, I love Ryan's use of "behooves". I definitely need to find a way to work that way into my vocabulary.

They kind of talk about things like this sometimes. Obviously, they don't want to come right out and say "Studio X is mad at us right now because we gave Bob Bobson's Sports Shooter a 2". The most ty've really said is how it can be difficult to really get to know and be friends with a developer, then give their game a bad review and have to go look them in the face at an event. I can imagine it was a little bad for this one, especially because Brutal Legend was such a big game for them, and then it didn't really pan out.
