I just got my computer fixed, and downloaded Star Trek Online to try out. Of course I had to work THIS evening.

I really need to watch Star Trek TNG.

If I'm not a fan of Star Trek or MMOs is there any reason for me to download this instead of Spookin' with Scoops?

Weirdest part of many TNTs is the part where you forget what game is being played and just listen to the conversation that is largely unrelated. I was doing stuff on my phone for a while and was surprised when I remembered it was not just a nice discussion about Microchanges and what not. I like it though, nice to stop thinking about the game for a while and just listen to other stuff.

You guys need to do that 360 Announcement Viewing Party Livestream, was hoping it'd be today, would be happy to see it as a large part of Friday if it fits.

OK, guys, I have a serious question for @jeff. Let's say he's involved in an accident (not that I would like it, I want Jeff to live long and prosper, eh, guys!?). But he has an accident and he is declared legally dead for a couple of minutes. But, suddenly, we revives. It's not that uncommon, really. So, my question is:

Since he was dead for a couple of minutes, what happens with his lifetime Star Trek Online subscription? Does that couple-of-minutes-long death count as death-death?

It could happen to any of us and we need to know how to proceed in this situation. Think about it. Just... think about it.

None of this is helping the fact that I caught the Star Trek Online bug today.

I tried to watch it, god help me I tried. Any time something star trek comes up on the site they all nerd out and talk so in depth about the intricacies of star trek that with my complete lack of star trek knowledge I can't follow it and they make no attempt to help me understand what they're saying.

I guess star trek content just isn't for me but I can't help but think that it'd be alot better if they just tried to explain one or two of the things they're talking about. Watching this kind of left me understanding some people's views on the dota 2 content.

They do try to soft sell Patrick on The Next Generation, but yeah, the MMO looks like a slurry of fan wank, cramming every series, every movie into a brundlefly of a franchise game. There's just too much that could be pointed to that would need a friggin' wiki link to explain (well, you see in the prequel comic to the 2009 movie...etc).

That said, I treated it more like a less focused podcast, letting it run in the background as I went about my night shift. Not terribly engaging, but still better than watching youtube footage of sessions/episodes playing out.

love the bombdudes and i'm currently bored as hell. but man do I not give a fuck at all about Star Trek and American TV.

I thought Jeff hated STO. Shame though, its a great game. This coming from a guy who dislikes MMO's.

I enjoy it when they talk about Star Trek shows even though i have never seen any of them. I do want to start Next Generation soon though but it is such a time commitment and I have so many other shows to watch first. The game looks alright but I would probably try some Old Republic instead if I had a better computer.

Yeah I know, it's another thing entirely to be there and partake in the madness though.

TV is way more interesting then video games. The Xbox One reveal is clearly evidence of this too.

Guild Wars 2 next please. At least it's gonna be a proper TNT. :)

It's never too late to watch TNG and DS9. Those shows are kinda dated, but also totally timeless.

Please don't eat during a recording, at least not with your microphone turned on.

But anything interesting on TV can be got as digital content somewhere so you don't have to actually, you know, watch TV. I haven't had any TV channels since 2005 and it's only been like 2 occasions where I had to go somewhere to catch something I couldn't get through other services.

So does that mean Jeff is reviewing Remember Me? What's the upcoming game that looks like shit?

I wish they put a new Star Trek on TV. I've seen all of TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY and ENT between 2-4 times each.

I think there should be another camera in the control room filming vinny or whoever is in there during all the TNTs and Unprofessional Fridays. I'd watch people messing with dials and possibly giving some more serious behind the scenes know how like in that one video they filmed. Post that up as another subscriber video or something stupid like that.

That's why this site is actually good. They don't do shit like that.

But skip The Original Series. "Dated" would be be a very generous descriptor for that.
